My ESA travel agent that i did today was MUCH shorter than it said it would be in the brief. I was in a total of 6 minutes, not half an hour as the briefing said....She just gave me some brochures and said to read through them and come back when I knew where I wanted to go...

    Help!

The way I handled this one was to say I was interested in that particular type of holiday and all three then asked me if I had a specific destination in mind and I said I did.( If they don't ask then a question like-does this brochure have XXX destination in it- often helps.)
That then led to getting invited to sit down. Sometimes though you do need to push and say you'd like some details now and just note on the report that you had to push to get them to do it.(I used to work in the travel industry so it was probably easier for me to find the right "push" comments)
I'd call ESA on this one and ask them what they want you to do.They may ask you to re-shop it.

I've just had a callback from the one most local to me-slightly iffy as I will need to drop in there to buy some currency for my REAL holiday in the next couple of weeks (perhaps I better go in disguise ;) )

Thanks What do we do to be invited? I have a large expensive department store on my list already which I have had since I first joined (they allocated it to me as my initial client) so if it is this one I am still missing one?
As for edigital I have now got final bit in so hope anyone else waiting like me gets all the surveys in too - a LOT of work with just 24 hrs to do it in!!

You have to do jobs for other clients which are off good quality and you have to live in an area in which they need shoppers. It works differently to their other clients and there is no sign-up page so you just have to wait and see I'm afraid!

The way I got it was I got a call saying that their regular shopper had missed out one element of the shop and they asked me to shop just that element (paid the same as the whole job) quite quickly. Since then I get them on a regular basis.
So if they call try and fit it in.

Certain companies and certain clients are OK. I like ABA for their initial flexibility (2 or 3 day window), GAP - you can usualy juggle days, and TNS now allow a movement but some are so time ad day specific. Rarely do I resort to emailing to move dates, I'll usually cancel them if it cannot fit in with plans.
    HI
I frequently reschedule jobs and have never had any problems at all with the companies I work for as I still get them done by the final due date. BUT those companies are not the ones that are most frequently mentioned in this forum. I tend to only pick up odd jobs from RE, Gap and Bare if I am already going to a particluar area and want a couple of extra jobs to pad out the day's work, and so don't have much experience of rescheduling for them. I've always found Tern, Gfk and Optimum Contact very amenable to rescheduling, but maybe that's just me.

Thanks for this - it's good to know that some companies are ok with rescheduling - at least if I can move some jobs sometimes it makes things tie up a lot better!

A £10 charge was deducted by my bank from the latest BARE payment leaving me with a couple of quid for my efforts. I have done many jobs for them and it never happened before. Has anyone encountered the same for their BARE payment this month?

Who do you bank with? Have they changed their charges recently? You're probably best to ask the bank why they charged so much.

I'm with Barclays and they've never charged me for receiving Bare payments.
  • Hi all, hope everyones ok. Just returned from a shop in town where I had to take my little princess to be measured up for some shoes, try them on and buy them. The brief says to send them to RM along with receipt for reimbursement, but we love them. Does anyone know if its ok to keep them and just complete the assignment for the fee offered. I have done this before for tern and they were fine about it, but can't get in touch with RM cos its the weekend.

    Many thanks
