Guys, just a heads-up to those of you completing your 2008-2009 tax self assessment on paper/by post - the deadline for HMRC to have received them is 31st October 2009.
OMG Monkey - is it this years that you are only now starting??? Well we wont be seeing you around for a while then!
Incidentally, you know that person who designed that fab spreadsheet that everone with Excel can use....well I think that the least he could do is design one for the luvvlies who dont have Excel - now that would def be a good egg!
Good luck with the figures (and the toothache). - Anna x

I've just come back from a pub food visit and now i'm trying to remember how many cubicles there were. And how many sinks. And bizarrely enough they also want to know how many doors there were on the toilets! I know the pub in question is renowned for being a bit of a dive, but seriously you want me to count the doors on the toilets to make sure they're all there????
Hope you remembered to go into each cubicle and peer down the pans to see if they were clean !!
Did one the other day that had 12 cubicles and several people in the ladies - no way was I gonna go into each one and behave like a perv! I think we need to take a pinny and a pair of rubber gloves with us on these jobs so we can pretend to be the cleaning lady!

  • I posted this on the old thread, didn't realise we'd moved!

    Hi - quick question, please.

I had two lunchtime food GAP assignments booked, one for today, one for tomorrow, same location. I went to do the first one today to find it wasn't open at lunchtime. Given I was there, now without lunch, and had been through security, I went on to do the second assignment, planned for tomorrow - which was open.

I've now cancelled the first assignment, and asked for payment by sending an enquiry. I can't WebExpress the second assignment as it tells me the date is not valid, so I've sent a second enquiry asking them to change the date to today.

Have I done the right things? Should I have not done the second one a day early, and just had to go without lunch today? Thanks

(I already tried to reschedule it for today - the only dates it would reschedule for were Thursday and later)

Oh I am sorry but that did make me laugh. Go without lunch? You poor thing. Can you not afford lunch unless you are going to get reimbursed for it?

Mystery Shopping isn't about ensuring you get a free lunch every day :rolleyes:, it's about doing the jobs on the days the client wants.

If the system won't let you change the date to today, then today was obviously not the date they want it done. You can either cancel it completely or go again tomorrow and do it on the correct date.

I would, but I've sent you a much better solution by PM ;)

Sorry - I should have explained. Both jobs were originally available for any day this week, so I don't see how the client would be unhappy. I'd had to re-arrange other stuff around being there at the right time, so didn't have time to go elsewhere to get lunch, hence needing to buy something there, the other MS outlet being the only choice.
