put a different sim in and type it in as written ( but without the spaces) using the * key to get the PW+
only risk is if code is wrong and you run out of tries - then it would need direct unlock

Hi peeps,

Please help me.....
I'm off to Australia and do not want to use my network over there as it will work out really expensive!

I contacted my network and they told it would cost me £20 to unlock my phone via them!

I have gone through money saving experts advice regarding unlocking my phone but the sites don't seem to have my model!

I have a Nokia 6230i on Orange network!

did you use a non tmob sim to enter it?
and make sure you put the #PW+ in as well
what was the error msg?
