Note there is a limitation of 100 metres square per household. Even so it's still a good deal.

I bought 11x8m2 rolls of 170mm "carbon zero" insulation from homebase earlier this year for £5 a roll (now £10 i see with a 100m2 per customer limitation) for a 2-bed bungalow to top up existing insulation. Still not laid it though - too much junk to clear out still! If i'd waited i'd have saved £30 so paid double..oh well!

Anyway to pre-empt the "how do i fit it" there is a guide here

Also just found an excellent site from Knauf Insulation here - if you goto "upgrade your home" in the loft insulation there is another installation guide and a video too.

Anyway hope that helps and don't forget to buy a suitable face mask.. cutting equipment = kitchen knife but don't tell the OH!

p.s. lindos: ours took 2 car journeys to collect (mini-MPV with back seats down)..different sized rolls to the nPower/building centre deal though but gives you a rough idea if you want to buy in advance.

I have not proceeded with the order yet as a £15 delivery charge has been added. Anyone else get this - Method of dispatch: Our transport £15. I assume it is because I don't have an account or my nearest build center is 50 miles away, but it doesn't have any explanation.
It is still a good price with the delivery charge, but it states 'free delivery'.
The credit card page doesn't look very secure, anyone ordered by phone?

tel number is always busy, on hold then i get cut off??? must be popular.

or anyone had any luck ordering online? do they give you a delivery date etc or do you pick one.
im after 16 rolls of 170mm thick insulation to do 53 sq m.(ive already got 100mm thick insulation between joists)
