Yes, it was from a comp - I think it was to win a voucher for £500 or so.

I left it as I didn't want to pay for this catalogue. Will try to find it.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1930363&highlight=next+500 found it!

I got sent a catclogue through this. I phone up earlier today to cancel, and they said that was fine and they'd cancel the charge as well.

I received a catalogue from Next as well. The postman rang the bell yesterday to say the RM hadn't delivered it but to let me know it had been lying on my doorstep all the time I was on holiday. Phoned Next up and they are collecting it on Monday. :confused:I wonder how many trees were destroyed to produce that - it is so heavy.I wondered if Boots or Tesco had sold my name and address on to Next as I definately don't shop there- too modern for me.

I had the same problem and said I wanted the charge reversed and they agreed, but if I order anything from the catalogue, then I will have to pay - which seemed fair.

I'm so glad I just saw this, as I was wondering too! To make matters worse, mine came filled with earwigs!!! It had been concealed by the front door, and I didn't notice it for a few days (As there was no card) and 25 earwigs fell out when I opened it. I complained, and they send me £20 in vouchers, but now I have a bill! I will be calling them on Monday. Thanks all!

You do get the money refunded when you place an order, which you probably won't do if you didn't ask for the catalogue anyway!

    Happy moneysaving all.

I sympathise with everyone here. I sometimes shop in Next & almost always get asked by the SA if I want to sign up for a catalogue, which I would never do on principle just because they charge for it. My reply to the SA is always along the lines that they dont charge me to walk into their shop or look at their website so why should I pay just to look at their catalogue???
