Ive been with Orange for about 9 months now, Ive heard that they changed their terms and conditions about call costs and a lot of people have managed to cancel their contracts, but can i actually do this? There is a thread about cancelling because they changed t&cs, but im not sure how to go about asking Orange about it...
Also i have a rubbish signal around my area, best is 2 bars in and around my house/outisde, im sick of calls dropping:mad: I rang them up a while back and said could i cancel on base of calls dropping all time and they said no..so im wondering now, because they have changed their T&Cs and put up call costs outside your monthly allowance, can i cancel it on that grounds without paying to cancel. I have an 18month contract.

Hi, not much use, but I tried a couple of years ago to cancel as I had no signal in my village and they said no....good luck thought, wish I'd fought them harder now. xSealed Pot Challenge Member No. 2850

They informed the users about the changes weeks ago so if you wanted to cancel you should have done it then should you not, you could try asking orange if you can cancel as tehy changed the t&c's0

Hi i didnt actually know about the changes in t&cs, i was looking on here to see if anyone else had manage to cancel on orange on basis of rubbish signal and dropped calls, and people were saying about a text orange sent out letting people know about change of t&cs, i certainly didnt get a text, and neither did a lot of people who posted on that thread, but yet my call charges outside of allowance has gone up, so why is it Orange sent some texts to pay monthly customers and not others?? The thread seems to be from around end of aug this year to Mid Sept.:happyhear0

Orange actually reversed their decision of increasing the call charges outside inclusive allowances as thousands of customers were leaving.
Those who managed to get the texts about the proposed changes and subsequently asking for their PAC codes 'BEFORE' Orange changed their minds were the only customers allowed to cancel their contracts.
Unfortunately, as the proposed price hikes have been cancelled, you cannot cancel your contract based on this reason.
In terms of signal quality, there was a editorial on this in Watchdog that deemed any customer who cannot receive a signal can cancel their contracts as they are paying for a service that they aren't receiving. I'm not sure about time frames though...Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0 -
If your call drops, orange credits you with 'lost' minutes on your next months allowance, pretty much every month im having extra minutes credited, ok it may be only 10 or 20 sometimes but its dropped calls ive had 2 re dial. One occasion, i was on the phone for about an hour and had to re dial 5 times!:happyhear0

To end due to poor signal you need to complain within the first few weeks, after 9 months you won't have much of a chance, sorry..0
