Hi - I have a buyer who is registered with Ebay as living in the UK but the postal address is Poland. They have paid through Paypal today but I have a funny feeling about this one.
I would be grateful for some advice, many thanks.

If paypal say it is OK to post to the address they have listed in their paypal account you should be fine. If you are worried, i would send the item via a trackable method, just to cover yourself.0

I've had many transactions with the buyers registered to Poland and wants the item posting within the UK or vice-versa and all have been fine

I'm led to believe that the UK's becomming a popular destination for Poles seeking work you see...

Thanks for replying.
Aren't all addresses outside the UK are unconfirmed?
What I cannot understand is that someone who lives outside the UK can be registered with Ebay.co.uk. Surely they have to give a UK address when they sign up?0 -

They probably signed up to Ebay when they were living over here (thus on .co.uk) and then have moved back home as the pound's gone so poor against the Euro.

My niece is married to a Pole. He lives in the UK but buys stuff to be sent "home" to family all the time. Perhaps this is one of those occasions? They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Thanks everyone. There seem to be plenty of explanations so maybe I am being too cautious.0 -

Ask for a landline contact number before posting the item. If you then send me the number via private message, I'll let you know if it adds up or not.
Wise to be cautious, and I would do exactly the same with a UK buyer.squee wrote:They probably signed up to Ebay when they were living over here (thus on .co.uk) and then have moved back home as the pound's gone so poor against the Euro.
Last time I checked, I spend Zloty, not Euro. And yes, when you were getting 7-1 against the Zloty in 2004 and now it's 4.5 and falling, there's really no point staying. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -

Not seen you on here before Mr Azhara...
The problem with European users registering accounts on the UK site is that it is not classed as an international transaction even though the item is sent abroad, therefore putting your eligibility for Top Rated Seller at risk.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
