So.......I'm home......thankfully not via coach or eurostar.......we had a "proper" holiday and flew out, so apart from a bit of a delay due to a few flakes of snow at Gatwick airport, things didn't go too badly.
The chalet was excellent - great hosts, who are qualified chefs, so an amazing menu.......and of course no washing up to do. There was an "eclectic" mix of others in the chalet - some who we got on with better than others, but we managed plenty of laughter, which is the main thing, and no fallings out amongst the residents.....
Skiing was good - plenty of snow, which is always a bonus at the beginning of the season.....but it was bloomin cold.......we spent most of the week skiing in temperatures of minus 25, and that was WITHOUT the windchill!! When you factor in the wind chill, it was apparently minus 40  Flippin cold.........but I survived.......largely due to the hipflask that I carried about my person
We came in under budget - not by much, but I have brought home about 3 euros, and we are very proud of the fact that nothing extra got spent on cards etc......so a very MSE holiday, although I confess I did not bring home the tin foil from the kitchen to put through my dishwasher and re-use
It took me a while to relax - the first few nights I still woke up at 2am thinking about work which was a bit of a pig, but eventually my brain got the idea that I was on holiday, and the knots receded, and I got a bit more sleep.....I feel thorougly refreshed.
So......back to reality!! Hope you guys are all ok.........and you have obviously behaved impeccably while I have been away :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
