Well, mudbath, I set myself the challenge of paying for my own ski holiday next month with free bingo/casino money, and did it in just a few days......so you will certainly get the school trip money out of it with a bit of effort and luck on your side!

Well it's nice to have made my stake back but I think 30 days of this will drive me more insane :rotfl:!!

It won't Mudbath, once you get a few wins you'll be hooked!

I won £100 a couple of weeks ago whilst chatting to my sister on the phone.
I literally screamed my head off!!! "I'VE JUST WON £100 ON BINGO!!!!!!"

I forgot where I was, then she said "You play BINGO?" in utter disgust.:rotfl:
But it totals over £300 this month, so not to be sniffed at.
When the 30 days end, I think I'll be in mourning!

Hypno - missed the diary for about a week and I've missed -
your birthday - a very happy belated one
DD's 6th form hunting in nice road
DD and DS Ski trip announcement
    Massive bill for said trip
annnd .... lots of other interesting bits too!!

I really must keep up. Had a very busy week here - sure someone has been moving clock hands forward when I'm not looking.

Think the 'borrowing' of your dad's money makes perfect sense.

We lived with my dad for 1st year of marraige to save up.
At 20 bought 2 up 2 down terrace and did it up - moved into it at 21. £8,000 and it seemed an absolute fortune LOL
At 26 bought 3 bed semi - £23,000 - didn't know how we could possibly manage to pay it LOL LOL LOL!!!
At 45 paid it off and got loan for small extension - this cost more than 1st house.
Still in house and still paying off loan - but will be paid SOON

I think that is the key llama - up until this house, we never stayed anywhere more than 3 years, and it is only since we have been here that we have accumulated so much stuff!

Hope everyone is ok, off to scratch!!

    Good morning,

We've moved normally every two years since getting married, normally buying houses with 'potential'. Currently renting but looking for the long term 'dream' but having trouble finding it!!

I can recommend thorough decluttering, it makes it so that when you can decide to sell you don't have to do it last minute before putting it on the market, and easier to move without the clutter. It's also amazing how much easier it is to find things :)

A cookbook collector here :o What works for me is when I try a recipe and it's good I photocopy it and put it in a plastic sleeve in a leverarch folder, then I know where all the tried and tested recipes are, and the plastic sleeves keep them clean when cooking. It also means it's easier to find them if you're not sure which book it's in :o

Have a good day and good luck to all the bingoers.

Just realised the cookbook comment was 2 pages back!! I must keep up with this thread!!

Loving Mudbath's conversation last night about bingo - yep, it really is as boring as watching paint dry. Its just that it brings free money rolling in! £35 this week - but, LT, with the fiver I actually deposited, I remember that that whole week I won a total of £1.67 - I thought I was going down for sure, but since then I've won about £70 on BB.

Llama - every 2 years??? I'd go crazy, tho maybe I'd like it too, in a way. Absolutely agree about the decluttering being essential. It kind of worries me about my move next year - even with all the decluttering I've been doing, I've got loads more stuff in this house. I have two tall bookcases full that I didn't move here with, plus my desk and all its paraphenalia. OTOH, I have a laptop, now, not a PC :rotfl:

£7.50 from BB for me this morning - but I didn't manage to finish scratches - OH laptop is half the speed of mine and can't cope with 2 windows open at the same time

Not done banking yet either - will do so now, while I eat a slice of toast at my desk to try and stave off the bacon buttie callings
