bidbroo

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of this site? I have made a major mess up, registered as i got a link through a Radio station email and skim read the t&c's, seemed a bit to good to be true but i thought maybe i am getting daft in my old age.. Anyway only after I placed a bid did i realise that all is not quite as it seems.. as you have to pay delivery on the item but they do not specify how much.. i am literally in tears as I can't believe how STUPID i have been! And then i realise i can't even pay as i don't have a debit card....and they are only 'open' 2pm-4pm Mon-Fri so i can't phone them.. Help! Anyone had dealings? - Will they charge stupidly large amounts of p&p?

Ah it's ok i have just seen this get out clause! - if you don't pay they offer to next lowest bidder.. panic over, that'll teach me to read things properly FIRST!

  • hey,

very surprised to see a negative comment about bidbroo here. I’ve used them (and know a winner) I found it very easy and simple.
There is no big catch, my friend had to pay £10 on delivery for a Panasonic camera, but that was it. What she won was worth £225! Why on earth would you be “in tears”??
Also, I’ve phoned them before. Between 2pm and 4pm, as it says on their site. Spoke to a nice guy called Phil in customer services. If their phones are open as they say they are – I don’t understand why you can’t call them?
They are a good site, and exciting to see something like this based in the UK.

  • There are lots of other penny and unique bid auctions that are reliable too. bestpennyauctions (dot com) gives an unbiased overview of many of the top auctions of this type.

There is no "best" penny auction, they're all scamming their buyers (if a buyer even exists).

By the way, you've won the "pointless spam bump of the day" award. Well done.

Yep. Pay 50p (or a quid, sometimes even more than that) to raise an item's price by a penny. So the company sells an iphone (or whatever) for £80 (if it gets that high, and considering the number of idiots around it probably would), which is 8000 bids. 8000 bids x 50p each = £4k for the penny auction site on just that one item.
