    Hi Souk,

shame about the flat, but having it seen it all yucky, you'd never feel it was properly clean to live in.

Tell me about it *rolls eyes* My house was left filthy when I got the keys and I think that's a contributing factor to my 'unsettledness' here. I hoovered every day for a week to get all the cat fur up (Thank God I still had my old flat to live in for a week)...had they not hoovered since I viewed?! The toilet was disgusting _pale_ and how do you get muck down inside radiators??:eek:

I've always yearned to go off to some festival & stay there to really get in to the vibe ... but have only ever done day visits or ones where I know someone who lives nearby & is happy to have overnight guests ;). I'm quite happy to get muddy ( see my love of pottering in my garden) but only when safe in the knowledge that when I've had enough I can come in & splosh about in my nice clean bathroom, with all my lotions & potions :D

I've been to festivals a couple of times and camped. It's great fun. Had the most fab time and have got the best memories from them. Baby wipes in bulk and wellies are a necessity though, you definitely need to be a bit p1ssed to use the loo's (and well equipped with loo roll and hand sanitiser) and it's not so much the mud that's the problem, but what's inevitably in it..._pale_:eek:

I agree with Gwen on the toilets, I went to see Oasis with my sis in 96, I told her the toilets would be bad, she came back with a right look on her face and said if you need the loo go find a bush. It was quite a good day but I kept getting told off, cos inbetween the bands I was sat on the grass watching the talent go past, my sis didn't think that was right, I wouldn't have minded too much but I never realised I was doing it.

I quite fancy going camping for my holiday this year as I have no money. But I will be attending the southport car show in august with the mx5nutz members and hope to take a friend or my daughter. I have a little igloo tent and its brilliant.

Anyway today took my capital one vouchers to the trafford centre today. Drew out £20 but only wanted £10 but no tenners in the machine.

With the vouchers I bought the lovers perfume from debenhams £20.03 which I have liked for ages.

I also went to boots and got a rimmel eyebrow pencil for £2.99, cotton pads for £1.75 and a six way nail buffer which I really needed for £2.99 and also soap and glory calm one, calm all bubble bath with body lotion built in for £3.32.

So total at boots with cash £11.05.

I went to starbucks for mocha and blueberry muffin and noticed that the blt butties that used to be massive and cut from corner to corner were now tiny pieces of bread and cut in half instead and still the same price.

It seemed all the sandwiches had shrunk since I went last time!!!
Why is it that all food these days including choc bars are going up in price but actually getting smaller - its so wrong!

So then I went to netto got a few necessities for £4 and then started to phone around for my car insurance, my last one was £310.92 for the year with equity red star, so my renewal not till may but I phoned richard egger insurance and with my modifications (15" rota alloy wheels, and ssteel exhaust) and 12,000 unlimited mileage on a 1993 S Ltd Mazda Eunos (import) 1.6i with 8 years prot no claim bonus, no convictions, no claims in 3 years, not garaged, parked in works car park and has a laserline immobiliser and it came to £262.50 yippee!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::eek:

I am so chuffed with it!
they said they were modification friendly and I got the tip from the mx5 owners club website, but i am not a member so still cheaper.

Its about time I got a car ins quote under £300 after all never had a ticket and Im 43.

    good day thankyou god:A

Thanks for that info makeup, I admit that £59.50 is somewhat cheaper than £500 for a week ... however, I'm secretly hoping that the recession means no one will book ahead & come august there will be loads of places avaialable for about £300 ;)

Lula - I'll ask around, a few of my friends have done Cornwall in recent years and I've a friend who lives down there so I'll see what they managed to find. Are you on the Travelzoo list? It is a free email that comes out with the best deals on travel. They send out an email with the Top 20 travel offers and they cover anything and everything related to travel (flights, cruises, hotels, trains, spa packages). It only comes out once a week so not spam heavy and there are some fab offers in there. I'm going to Cornwall next week and we're paying £139 for three nights B&B in a really nice hotel near Newquay, including lunch on one day and the tasting menu dinner at Jamie Oliver 15.

They often have good package deals and you might see something good somewhere - I know quite a few good deals comes up for Isle of Wight and I think that might be a fun place to visit??
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Doesn't everyone say that every year about Creme Eggs??? Not sure if it is true but it certainly seems that way!!!!

Well done on fab insurance price. Well worth finding specialist insurers for cases like yours I think - the big boys just aren't geared up for that kind of thing (gears, cars, geddit??? I'm hilarious :rotfl:)

  • Even better day today, did my shopping at asda £19!!!
Went to pick up a free headboard for my daughters single bed from freecycle its white painted metal with brass coloured tops. Its lovely.
Went to see my dad hes a bit better, hes bored and put the new tv together, and my mum said 'told you you should have not done it' thing is she did not even attempt to plug it in and everything! She never attempts to do things like that herself.
She hardly said a word to me or asked me about what I was doing but I don't care what she thinks anymore.

then I came home polished the interior dash of car with strawberry smelly dash shine and then could not resist going out again for a run.
