You can block what individual people see, I have that done on a few "friends" so u could choose not for him to see your status and wall etc. And just pretend its cos u never use it.....

Sounds sensible! I didn't know that, but as I said I don't really use it much :p

mmmmmmmmmm........... that's a tough one gwen, not sure really! How much stuff do you put on Facebook? (I am a very infrequent user, and only ever really make the odd comment on other people's stuff, don't really ever update my own status or put photos on) I suppose it would depend what your Dad is likely to find out? :p

I've got a few photo's up, but not loads. I hardly ever update my status, friends sometimes write on my wall. I'm just aware that he will twist ANYTHING however small. So if somebody made one comment about me going to a party...he'd probably say that I'm going out too much if it suited the point he was trying to make at the time...but then he's said before that I don't go out enough...I'm kind of learning to accept that whatever I do will never be right in his eyes.
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

Then that is probably the best way to think - live your life according to your conscience - not anybody else's :A

Urgh hungover TDQO this afternoon! Am going sea swimming at 1 to try and shake it off.

Gwen I had my landlord add me a few days ago! I wasn't sure as we are friends but I didn't want him to see anything dodgy on there. Then I realised it prob doesn't matter as I'm moving out soon anyway! With your dad I'd do what others have suggested and accept him but only let him see a little bit of your profile...

  • Hi well the new boyfriend sounds excititng lilimissup well done, keep at it and enjoy the time you spend with him.

I got up at half nine as I worked 8-6 yesterday and was shattered. I drove off to eccles to take my old car stereo to my friend so he can sell to someone for me. Popped in asda on way back and got a medium sized chicken for £4.48 so that will make a few meals?
On the way there I was zooming down the m60 and spotted someone with a mk1 mx5 like mine, I passed him and pipped him and waved and he looked a bit of alright too. Think he knows me from the mx5 website.

I filled the car up with petrol - pay day tomorrow!
Tomorrow busy day, wash car in the morning, go to hospital to have blood test and then I am off to the trafford centre with my vouchers £25 to spend. I need some new undies at least five or six pairs so will shop around before buying any.
Then its a coffee in starbuck yippee and watch all the nice looking men pass by:):)

    Hello all,

hurray for new BF littlemismupp :j

I now have a FBF (fantasy boy friend :D) & he's wonderful. Never makes me clean up after him, no sock washing, no nasty grimy mechanical items in the home & best of all no loo seat up.

Other news is that I've been researching holiday rentals in Cornwall for August & will be paying at least £500 . DD doesnt think we need a holiday away & I'm trying to talk myself into camping, without any success whatsoever :o. I can happily sleep 3 nights in tent, but I cant be doing with sharing 'facilites' _pale_.

I know that a weeks' camping will probably cost less than £500 including the, camping fees, petrol to get there & back, the eating out & possibly the alcohol required to make it bearable :undecided, but really, isnt the reason for having a credit card or two, so we never have to go camping :D

No, I dont do caravans / holiday parks :p.

Any other suggestions for places that may be cheaper than cornwall, but with sea, interesting places & a nice vibe ? Will drive any distance.

    Hello all:)

    Congrats lilmissmup:j

Butterfliesarepretty, I would probably not do anything about your phone until you are in a better situation financially, I know you are bored with your phone but if it still works just leave it until you have some spare money and don't forget you can sell the old one for a few pounds. You don't want to be in a situation where you have bought a new phone and are struggling for money for food/petrol.

clarabella, hope the date went well:D

Lula, totally agree with not camping:eek:. Am not an outdoors girl:D

Shoegal, hope you managed to make good use of your day:)

TDQO and Souk, hope your hangovers have gone:D

gwen, if it is going to cause you any upset at all then do not let your dad on your facebook page. I think I would feel very uncomfortable in that situation. Not sure how you would go about it so not much help there but I think lilmissmups idea sounds best if you can;t think of anything else. Is there a way to set your account as totally private so that you can tell him you've closed it?

I haen't lost any more weight this week:( However, am quite relieved that I have at least stayed the same as have been eating rubbish. I just want to lose another 1lb as that will mean I am halfway to my target.

I am still obessively checking my ebay page, have lots of things finishing tonight so I want to get them sold and posted. I need to just put a few things on and only check on them the day they are due to be sold as I am wasting far too much time looking at it each day when all that happens is one item goes up by 20p. :o Not a good use of my time at all and quite disheartening.:(

I have done quite a few housework type things today, so all the ebay stuff waiting to be photographed is now put away in baskets so I can just get a few things out each week to sell. I have done lots of tidying, washing and polishing so it's looking a lot better now and hopefully in a few weeks I will have some more storage space when everything in the baskets is sold.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend:)

    Hi ladies

Lula - Suffolk, Kent or Dorset coast? Might not be quite so pricey! Totally agree about the camping - I simply don't have the shoes for it :D

Sarah - stop obsessing about ebay, you're doing really well with it

Have done some houseworky stuff, been to gym and then out for a family meal. And I got weighed (again) this morning as I felt so bloated yesterday - and I have lost 2lbs :j
