Yay for weight loss Shoe Gal :j

I've just been looking at Dorset & Sussex, better but still pricey considering no sunshine is guaranteed. I really need to win the lottery or get my FBF to buy a holiday cottage somewhere. Needs to have 2 bedrooms, small courtyard style garden, 5 mins from the beach & town with cafes, pubs, bistros, bars, shops, galleries etc ....

*Wakes up & wanders off to have a bath in preparation for the ugly reality of yet another monday :(*

I have a luggage tag that says 'I love not camping!' Everyone up here goes on about T in the Park festival but I don't go as I cant be doing with muck and wellies and not having a good wash!

Flat was NOT GOOD. I'll be staying where I am. All shabby and mismatched. I know those folk are moving out but they'll leave loads of junk and all old sofas etc with manky throws on them and that's not for me! Was HORRIFIED to see they hadn't even made the bed and they were having visitors!!!! I'm a bit OCD about my bed as you all know i.e ironing the covers so this gave me the fear. Think that was Gods way of making me appreciate my own flat...and I do, it's lovely.

    Hi Souk,

shame about the flat, but having it seen it all yucky, you'd never feel it was properly clean to live in.

I've always yearned to go off to some festival & stay there to really get in to the vibe ... but have only ever done day visits or ones where I know someone who lives nearby & is happy to have overnight guests ;). I'm quite happy to get muddy ( see my love of pottering in my garden) but only when safe in the knowledge that when I've had enough I can come in & splosh about in my nice clean bathroom, with all my lotions & potions :D

I'm so with you Lula, although I don't really like getting dirty to start with!

Sometimes it's quite pleasing to feel the contrast though ;)

I don't mind camping, I like being so close to the outdoors and I love that the amount of cash you save.

I stayed here for two nights last Summer it is in Devon, but just over the border from Cornwall.

We had a great time and I can vouch that the toilets and showers were very nice and clean and were not at all horrible. We stayed at the beginning of August and they weren't very busy. They are a farm with a big field they rent out for camping in so not like a holiday park.

If you want more info, let me know.

Could you do two or three days camping and then a couple of nights in a hotel? Friends of mine did that last year - kind of a reward for the camping??

Am really tired, been out all day with my sister and her family which has been fun but my FWB popped over last night which is all well and good but I do need my beauty sleep.....
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Thanks for that info makeup, I admit that £59.50 is somewhat cheaper than £500 for a week ... however, I'm secretly hoping that the recession means no one will book ahead & come august there will be loads of places avaialable for about £300 ;)
