  • Hi all, doing my garden today after a shower. Bloody alliance and leicester charging me £100 charges for being over overdraft 21 days. So rang them up. I was doing so well, no council tax this month and have in my overdraft funds £191.67 left till 15th march. But after their deduction on the 3rd of march there may be nothing. I have messaged them online too to ask them to take it out on the 16th when I get paid. doubt they will take any notice though.

I've had my gesture of goodwill and tried to claim financial difficulty but that was thrown out because of the courts.
    Oh !!!!!!.

I have stressed to them in the message that I will not be able to survive if they take this money out too early.

  • Hi all, well the date went ok, I thought oh hes not bad, friendly, bought me a coffee, then I heard his laugh, bit giggly I thought, then noticed alcohol on his breath. Further into the conversation he admitted he had driving ban for sitting in his car over the limit and then admitted he was an alcoholic but did not drink. Hmmmmm. anyhow to give the guy credit he was polite but did talk over the top of me occasionally. I had a good conversation with him till 4pm. He wanted to walk around bury and I had already decided no hes not the one. I was honest with him and told him I would rather tell him now than later that there was no spark for me. He thanked me for being honest. and we chatted abit longer. told me his business had gone down, that he lived in a flat that was part owned and that he had never been married but had two 12 year relationships. I suddenly realised, drink problems lead to other problems and now he is setting his own business up again. The fact I could smell alcohol did not impress me either.

Oh well the search goes on:)

I nipped to asda after for this lot:-
    Tiger Cat dry food 97p
    Ssteel cleaner £1.80
Asda hair styling serum (needed as i have very coarse hair) £2.02
    Car Sponge 50p
    Car Shampoo turtle wax £1.00
    Reduced warburtons teacakes 47p
    Toilet tissue smartprice 45p
    Beef cuts for casserole £1.87
    toastie bread 51p

total £10.09 - that went on my cc - (naughty I know but the bloody bank charges coming out of my account on 3rd)

Petrol £20 on cc too. Had no fuel left and wanted to save the money on my current account.
Feel bad but what can I do.

Sent off my cds and dvds to magpie for £4.00 I will hopefully get.
I have nothing else to sell.

    Hi Tracey

Good to hear that you decided against that bloke; my dad's an alcoholic and having seen the damage it can do to other people, I would urge anyone not to get involved with an alcoholic who claims to have stopped drinking when they clearly haven't. If they're lying from day 1 they're clearly not on the road to recovery.

Oh Tracey, they're not worth you being upset. I'm always amazed when I see some of the nasty replies on some parts of this forum (not dfd!) Surely no one is so pathetic that they need to abuse someone anonymously!

  • Hi souk08 thanks for that, how has your day been. I am just boiling pasta to have with pesto and after that I think either a teacake or a scone from the freezer. :p

They don't sound like very nice people. Have you tried http://www.mx5oc.co.uk/Forum/ or http://www.mx-5.com/Forum/ ? Those are the forums I used to use if I had an MX5 question, and the people were quite nice generally.
