It's the 'casserole' in the title that scares me  Sure it's lovely though :D

  • Hi all just got back, been to see my dad in hospital, he is now in a side ward so he has peace and quiet and hes eating and has colour in his face. He reckons he will be in another two weeks and then back home once he gets to do more walking in the ward. It was relieving to see him chatty and breathing better.
He has two bags on his stomach for the loss of the bladder, kidney and prostrate. Hes glad hes losing the weight too as he wants to get rid of his belly.

I was annoyed that the car park still charged £2.50 on a sunday though. Got to put petrol in car tomorrow - and meeting this guy at 3pm so bit excited.

May do my garden tomorrow morning too as snow all gone now.

Had a really good day today put a new bathroom cabinet up and a curtain pole and hemmed a curtain to go on it, I also did quite a bit of cleaning, just got flooring to sort in bathroom and it's done, so I'm chuffed.
Went to Xscape in Castleford yesterday for my nephews birthday, I took him to Starbucks for a hot chocolate and cookie and he said I was his best auntie, my sis said well you haven't got much competition, she's going to get a smack in the chops one day.
I've been reading but not posting and I hardly iron anything, but that's mainly cos I'm not that good at it and it bores the living daylights out of me.
Haven't done any gardening cos of the snow today, I'm getting fed up of it now I want to get cracking out there.
Tracey hope your dad gets better soon, I hate hospitals and it's not nice when you have to leave parents there when they look weak and helpless, my mum was a pain when she was in mainly cos they don't know how to make a proper cup of tea, I had to take flasks of boiling water so we could make a drink and god help me if I forgot.

Enough of the food talk ladies,

some of us have eaten green potato soup for supper & are currently snacking on the last 2 remaining ryvita in the house :(.

Sarah, I havent lost any weight at all this month either, & have only just managed to stave off those 5lb lost in January that are determined to return .

Can't see me managing to lose all 5lbs due in the next 7 days but as Shoe Gal said, I do think the body take time out to readjust to new quantities of calories consumed, so maybe we should just try for 2lb loss this week & then really go for it in March (exercise & all ) You'll be so busy counting your ebay riches that you wont have time to eat anyway :D
