Had a luxurious bath this morning, DD made some cakes & we're off to visit relatives later on.

    I still want those boots

To be honest, I don't seem to meet many men at all :( Mind you, I don't actaully look :rotfl::rotfl:

Am feeling quite low at the moment as I have put on weight but can't seem to motivate myself to do anything about it :o so I am not really thinking about men!

try not to feel low, I am staying in hoping the windowcleaner will attempt to fix my gate at some point today. I get paid tomorrow and found out I can't stop my daughters savings plan as the co told me I can't have payment holidays as they will have to force to surrender the policy if I do stop payments. Nice of them.

Anyway I just want to fall in love, and eventually be married by time I am sixty and afford to go on holiday.

I am 5ft 6in and weigh between 9and half and ten stone. I am in the gym but just can't get motivated to go while my dad is in hospital if you know what I mean. I think I will go tomorrow after work though and put my exercise stuff in the boot of the car so I can change into it then do my weekly shop for food.

    the list is:-
    8 frozen sausages
    eggs
    carrots
    frozen value peas/sweetcorn
    gravy
    2 tins soup
    veg
    dumpling mix
    crusty bread
    butter
    plain flour/self raising flour
    3-4 bananas dried apricots
    2lb loaf tin
    pasta
    2 cans corned beef
    2 cans beans
    cereal

I am going to make the corned beef has, banana loaf, shortbread, stew with dumplings and toad in the hole hopefully.

My daughter comes over wednesday (half term) till sunday so got nice few days off.

Hello all, just up and in the land of the living. The shop is now shut and I'm off for a week! Yippee! Lots of nice (frugal) plans and off out tonight for a drink. Will finally get to put on a brand new top I bought with Xmas money just before Clothes Challenge started HA! Looks as if you all had fun last night!

Thanks for all the kind words about mum, she's fab. And Tracey it's me who only wnats the one thing love...but not with some rotter. My message to him was short and sweet, but with hindsight it should have been 'Get out of my way, I'm fabulous!' May use that tonight as I have had a sunbed and done my feet and will be wearing my lovley Coast top. Woe betide any nonsense character who crosses my path!

Went out for a lovley lunch yesterday but it was a bit out of town and I got a bit itchy! Two of my friends confessed to wanting to live in the middle of nowhere as they got older. I told them they would be minus a visitor! If I can't have a beach, may I please have a city?! X

One of them has asked me to his 30th. It's on a farm!!!! I plucked up the courage to say no, I just don't do the whole great outdoors thing. He just laughed. He knows I love him and he's the one who got me the 'fabulous' card!

:eek: back atcha - I'm back in the city twice a week for MSc and I hate it, am delighted to get out! Just can't understand how I managed to live there for so long.

Valentine's Eve party was a great success, everyone really enjoyed themselves. And all the silly things I'd planned and worried they wouldn't enjoy were real hits. Won't post details but PM me if you want them to help spread this glorious tradition - I'm thinking of doing it every year now!

Only downside is have stinking cold - lasted through last night but have had to apologise and cancel trip out today. And have just finally braved amending my sig after the huge bills for ctax, uni fees and new tv - basically I'm £300 worse off than when I started! :( Oh well at least it is better managed now. And will get expenses paid shortly so that will help.

Hope you're all having a fab day :grouphug::heartpuls

  • Hi souk sounds like you have been busy !

My gate has not been fixed yet - he has not arrived, I'm guessing he won't turn up - why do people say they are going to help you then don't?

I just touched up the scuffs on my plastered walls in spots with the paint. It was re-skimmed in three rooms in 2008 but the cracks are showing though again slightly and some damp spots showing as tiny rust spots coming through both side walls in places. I had damp proofing put in in years ago but its slightly showing just above skirting boards on walls on both sides of the house. When I have some spare cash I will get some mould paint from b and q to treat it. It looks like pin pricks of brown very tiny. But keeping check on it.

I love the quietness of the countryside, I love the highlands of scotland too. I would like to live there one day but I like being close to a busy town or city too.

    Hi everybody!

Feeling really motivated today, so just dropping in quickly. I need to get on with my list in a second.

eco - I saw your post on the Hastings Direct fuel vouchers thread on the Insurance forum. I haven't received mine yet either, despite numerous phone calls :mad: I've just written a rather scathing letter to them which I intend to post tomorrow. Let me know if you hear anything. The letter is very firm, but I HATE companies who promise things then don't cough up.
