I will have to rent as will not be able to get a mortgage due to a default i have on my file from egg still have another four years before that drops off.

    Hi Lincs

I have a mate who is an independent mortgage advisor & he says he can still find occasionally find products at reasonable APR's for people who have been discharged from bankruptcy but still have it on their records so don't write off the possibility. You're unlikely to get a mortgage directly from a "high street" bank but a whole of market mortgage advisor might be able to help.

Lula Hula - I used to do the wearing nothing but black but it got a bit....:its bad enough that I got fat when I didnt want to but now I'm depressed because I never wear cheerful or nice clothes. So now I try to avoid all black outfits, and it makes me feel quite a lot better about myself.

Having moaned about my spending yesterday....I didnt quite make it home to my own bed last night, so had to come to work in last nights clothes....so to make my very low cut dress work appropriate I had to pop to new look and buy a along sleeved tshirt to go underneath it, and some clean knickers, and to boots for a toothbrush. So thats some more money I have p**sed up against a wall as my work friend used to say. Totally worth it though!

Ditto to the colourful clothes CaroleM
And hi-five on the not making it home...and if it was worth it then good even if it did involve unplanned expenditure:D

Buffy and Lincs- I'm the same and 30...i feel you totally:T...i can't be a dirty stop out because of the parentals...spend my life making loads of excuses and driving home at all hours since we son't want any lectures or disapproving looks:o

Nothing at all...i think it goes with the territory...lots of effort for little gain- loads of the nicer ones seem to be time wasters- i reckon they trawl and chat then move on when they find someone 'nicer'.
Saw a book in borders tonite about how to go internet dating...maybe i should get it and dispense the pearls of wisdom to everyone who needs it and those of us sick of Plenty of freaks style online dating;)

Oh yeah.........the having to text if you are going to be late, the paying for expensive cabs home.

It is lovely in many ways but the social life takes an absolute killing.
