well done on paying arsenal off. If you get your OH to close the Arsenal account then they will refund any money they owe you.

unless it's a terrible interest rate you should pay that on such a 'small' amount. i used to pay that on a CC with a few thousand on it.
Maybe it's the minimum payment which is in the system, i've seen CC's do that before. As they said above ring them up and get them to sort it.

ok, wee update, my OH went to court the other regarding the landlord not registering our deposit with the TDS (he waited 4 months to register and only after told him we were leaving).

my OH went to court back in July, was told by the judge that he was ajourning the case and told my OH to put in a claim for 3 times the deposit. (we were going to court because we left our tenancy agreement 1 month early). so we thought we could possibly be getting 3K as our deposit hadn't been registered twice.

So second court hearing, this time the landord had hired a lawyer to act on his behalf, and he ended up producing a skeleton Bill that has been passed in court (even the judge had no idea it existed) that states the landlord doesn't have to register a deposit int he TDS, and can only be sued if the fail to register it 14 days after going to court :( luckliy the judge felt sorry for us with all of the problems we had with the flat and after awarding compensation to both parties and then deductions we cam out 291 in credit!! Not the 3K we firt though, but brilliant all the same. especially as the landord was the one taking us to court for 300!!! he ended up paying us that plus his solicitor fees.... yey!

i've just been paid today, i got 293 more than my basic and im not sure where to keep it in the back to go against my overdraft or to put it on a CC. My overdraft is -2480 with the funds still in there and it on a lower rate than my CC. i guess i am answering my own question here, its got to go on a CC.

feeling quite blue today regarding money. i sat down the other day and woked out what my own fixed costs are including half the bills and rent, then worked out my OH's. His fixed costs (not including wedding saves) are exactly the same as his wage, so essentially im paying for the wedding soley out of my wages. i know i shouldn't look at it that way, just feel a bit gutted. month to month i go without to pay stuff down for both of us, and when it comes down to it, i have 600 spare each month from my own wages..

i dont know if this is just me, but i get really agitated when the OH uses the joint account for something (even little things like toiletries without my knowledge) how do i stop myself being bitter about it, i know i need to as we are getting married, when i first started this i thought, if we ever have kids and i don't have full wage for whatever period, his wages will support us... but by looking at things, they just wont. Maybe i should pimp him out :) only joking....

thats a tough one cakey, but i know where you're coming from. My OH contribution to the bills and the groceries but through our choice the rest of his money is saved and he's left with a certain amount for the rest of the month. It does really annoy me when he goes overdrawn because i think because i'm clearing my debt at a quicker rate, whereas he gets 100 squid for a month i'm lucky to get 30 squid, and i'm the major bread winner. I'm sure it will even out eventually for us as one day my debts will be gone but i'm also sure it will wind me up again and again before that day.

    HI cakey

I think we just decided at the start that all money was ours and all spends were ours jointly and all debts were ours. We manage the money better when I do it. Sometimes I earn more than him - sometimes one of us is earning and the other is not - I just don't let it bother me. My OH is very good tho and generally doesn't buy much. If it is a big item he wants / is getting we discuss it first.
