My son got his first shoes from the NHS, he's now got his first set of splints and we just buy normal shoes from the shoe shop as the splints support everything.
Our NHS physio has been great, we've had bath seats, seats so he can sit up on the floor and play, a bench and a walking frame. All this is on loan of course, but it's certainly a money saver.
One thing i never understand is these charities often say that they help low income families, i'm not on a low income but because my wife can't work as she looks after our son and my mortgage and other outgoings are large i struggle each month, and no, i'm not living in a mansion. Why couldn't we get help?0
