    Hi All ,

    Quick update.........

We have sorted out a raffle at the local Rangers Supporters club on the 3rd jan ( ie the next old firm match ) , so we should raise a good few pounds towards some boots for her

Also i am awaiting word back off the masonic charties but ive ben told we stand a goo chance of getting some help.

Also i was talking to a chap who put me in the direction of this site http://www.children-today.org.uk/ which Alan & Liz are going to apply to ( so fingers crossed on that one ).

Once again thank you all for your help

    Hi Jaffa,

You can definably get the boots made on the NHS, I have cerebral palsy and have just had my first pair of shoes made at no charge. I was even able to design the boots which was great being a fashion conscious 24 year old! Explain to her consultant that you are having problems with ill fitting footwear, and he/ she should be able to refer you to the right department! Hope this can be of some help!

Hi Tasha, thank you for your help

She does get boots off the nhs but they are slow and she hardly gets any wear out them due to the fact kids feet grow so quick...

They have been on to the consultant and hopefully it will get sorted a bit quicker in the future for her..

All we are trying to do is make sure she is getting all the help that is out there..

    Aww, nothing changes :(

My daughter was wearing NHS boots for the first 14 years of her life...she's 17 now & these are exactly the same issues we have always encountered...

You get fitted for the boots....they take months to come....and hardly last because of that....and then you phone for an appointment...and wait months again....its a very pathetic and frustrating evil circle...:(

Hope you get as much help as you can Jaffa :)
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

    Good morning all

Well we held a raffle for Taylor at the local Rangers supporters club and considering the time of year we raised £300 for the little lass to help towards the cost of some new slippers ( which they are ordering today ) , and som new shoes when she needs them
