Hmmm, i'll have to take a look i buy 3K of diesel a month for business and that's gotta get me free gas and electricity for my house ain't it.
Currently i spend about £130 a month on gas and electricity.
Any thoughts guys ?
I thought most firms using that amount of diesel got agency fuel cards - up to 6% discount?
Will there not be tax implications?
You can't use business expenses to offset your domestic bills!
Ain't a good idea IMO0 -

Where there's a will there's a way, but it seems you can't pay cash onto the card at post offices it all has to be done by debit card.
I thought all pre pay cards you could load at a post office !Updated 16/09/2011 Capital One 503.96

Hi By_Magic
The card isn't intended for the purchase of "business" fuel. If the company believes it is being used in this way it can suspend the card and terminate the agreement.
I would agree with Cardew that you should look elsewhere for opportunities for saving money on your fuel costs.
You can have a card for other business expenses (excluding fuel), and cashback would be credited against your business account.
Best regards
Mike

Yep, 35p and there is also a monthly fee of £2.
Hi Nige
Just to clarify, the £2 monthly fee is applicable if you have no live services.
Monthly fee is only £1 a month (free for the first 6 months) if you have at least one live service with UW .
Also £9.99 Application fee for each card.
Also not including the monthly membership.

But i can use it to purchase 3k worth of groceries a month if i have a big family.
They shouldn't restrict you to how much you can save, in fact on their website it says and i quote "There's no limit to the CashBack you can earn." /quote

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Mike,
Despite the subsequent post #27 I still don't understand.
If you have 'no live services' against what is the cashback credited?
Does the cashback credit sit 'in the bank'(so as to speak) and when you open up a service the money is credited against that service.
I suppose it depends on the definition of 'no live services'.0 -
Is it that you could sign up for (very expensive) energy, and it would be some time before the expensive energy started to come through your sockets and pipes, therefore although you are a club "member" you haven't gone live??0

The Big 6 all have much cheaper energy than UW and OVO seems to have a pretty good deal in comparison to them and they are vastly cheaper than UW.0
