Have applied for a few places but because they generally say experience preferred and so many people applying for the same jobs in the current situation then i dont get any luck.
I just wish there was some kind of extra income online even £5 a week would be great.
I heard theres like some texting jobs online? Anyone know anything about those?0 -

I know its not everyones cup of tea but I've made more money cleaning and ironing than anything. At one point I was full-time self-employed! It all started by asking a friend if she wanted some help for a couple of hours . . . . . You could ask your mums' friends
Once word started getting around I was getting more work than I could cope with. I wasn't driving then so I had to plan my week carefully to minimise the dashing around between jobs. Some were regular and some were one-offs like helping tidy up gardens for the winter, spring-cleans, window cleaning, clearing sheds, christmas shopping and gift-wrapping, and always tons of ironing!! I even got £12/hr cleaning rental properties!!
Its hard to ask outright for work but if you do a good job for a reasonable price, the first few people to employ you will tell their friends and before you know it the phone'll be ringing and you'll have people begging you for your services!!
At one time I worked with two other friends of mine and we could steam through the messiest of houses in a couple of hours! hope this helps

I helped my auntie do some of her cleaning jobs before and i found it alright so il ask my mum to ask her friends and see if i can find anyone as i wouldnt mind that.
What should i ask for £6 an hour or whatever they will offer me?0 -
Hi Jem - I started out asking friends for £5 an hour but as demand increased I was able to ask for more. I had a business man who paid me £10 to iron his workshirts - 10 a week and it took me less than an hour! I still have people begging me to work for them but unfortunately my health prevents me from committing too much of my energy outside of my home.
A lot depends on where you live but always do your very best,be punctual and respectful and aim to be indispensible!!! I never cut corners and treated my clients homes with respect . . . and was never short of work!
Good luck and I hope you earn enough to enjoy yourself as well as tackle your debts xOne life.0 -
I sell Usborne children's books, which is very flexible. There is a small outlay.
I don't know how much detail I am allowed to go into on a forum, but you would be very welcome to send me a message if you would like to know anymore.0
