    As mentioned getting a specific vehicle from a rental agency can be tricky. Have you asked your local dealer about getting a longer test drive? If they see that you are genuinely interested they might be persuaded considering the current economic climate ;)
  • Hertz offers / has offered the Fun / Green / etc 'collections' at selected branches, but I understand that it is being phased out because it is simply so difficult for a rental company to guarantee exact makes and models. If you are really interested in buying a Touran, contact your dealer and explain the situation, that you want to test the vehicle for longer and you're prepared to rent one. While they may not be able to, they may know another VW dealer that does rentals.
