The Santa Talk
Comments
-
My 9 year old is starting to question whether Santa is real, "Why does he not die? Reindeers haven't got wings so how can they fly?" etc.
I've not lied to him by saying he is real, just gave him possible solutions to his questions and he still believes.... think he may realise before Christmas comes though which is a shame.
((We've done the birds and bees talk, it came up naturally when he saw something on tv. He seemed pretty clued up already though as to what goes on!!))♥.0 -
i thought my 10 yr old ds still sort of believed in santa, that was until i heard him talking with friends in his bedroom saying " if you dont believe you wont get a stocking a a huge present from santa , just pretend you still believe and you will get them like i do "
well i was totally gobsmacked, so the little toe rag is going to get coal in his stocking and a empty box from santa this year !
i wouldnt do that really, i just couldnt believe that he has been pretneding since his was 7 lol and he still puts his teeth under his pillow !0 -
I think they just dont want to "not" believe. It keeps the game going on both sides“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Wait until he asks again. Maybe he'll come up with a cunning plan to fool you he still believes0

I have 4 kids aged 5,8,11 and 13. They all say that they still believe but I'm sure the eldest two are just playing along. My 8 year old saw some wrapping paper in my cupboard and said "Ah...now I understand. I thought Santa couldn't possibly wrap all those presents by himself. You must be helping him!" I think it's great to keep the magic going as long as possible and wouldn't have a "chat" with them at all.0

Im 25 and still have ever been 'told' lol! I remember asking my mum when I was about 8 and she simply said..............can you afford not to believe? Kept the magic alive for another while! Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........
People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!0 -
I am 30 and I still believe. I just hope I can keep dd's 10 and 6 believing for as long as possible too. I think that if you stop believing the magic of Christmas goes away.0

Im 22 and my mum and dad have never told me or my brother and sister that Father Christmas doesnt exist. I think I was about 9ish when I heard of kids in school about it and when ever I asked my parents they always said ''theres always one gift, you dont know who its from''0
