I will email them, and see what happens.

    Thanks again

    Great stuff.

In normal office hours they reply within 15 mins. As its out of office hours its longer but you should still get a response by morning.
  • Hi

    Got a reply from Dominic

Explained that the web space will be fine for me, bandwidth is enough for thousands of visitors a month ( I wish ). Emailed back some more questions, so see what happens.

They do not have a site builder, so told me to go to wordpress.org and download it for free!

    Speak to you later

  • Hi

I have explained that blogging is not my thing as The Rover SD1 Club has a forum up and running already, so now not sure if it is for me, as I will mainly be doing pictures, but I will wait and see.

  • Hi

    Had a reply as follows

"Ah I see - in this case you'd need to use some software to create a site through us, as at the moment we don't have a sitebuilder service at all.

I can recommend Joomla - they have a demo here: (demo.joomla.org) Feel free to take a look around and see if that does what you need, although it does have a lot of options it is very flexible once you get used to it."

    My search carries on!

Wordpress is allot more than a blog. It can be used for eCommerce, Classified Ads and general websites.

But if I were you I would use Forum Software like this money saving expert site. You could create a new post on your forums and add pictures from a certain event etc. Also have a section for Car Parts, Events, Sales and General Discussion.

Again this can be done Free by using the MyBB software: http://www.mybboard.net/

If this is not for you let me know and I will see what else I can think of :D
  • I will have a look tomorrow.

    Thanks
