mobile phone (tariff) advice.

hello, I was hoping that I may get some advice.

I have a PAYG phone with 02. I top up £10 a month and get 500 minutes free for landline use, which I tend to use each month and I have the phone in case I need to be contacted.

I dont tend to call other mobiles. As a result I've built up around £100 on my mobile in credit.

I was wondering whether there were alternatives out there. Im really confused as to the different tariffs!

thanks for reading.

Sounds like you are on a good tariff already, im not aware of really any contracts/tariffs of hand that low that could beat it.

Why not stop topping up till you use up the credit?

Check with O2, but the "deal" on the SIMS my kids have, is "top up with £10 get a reward" (theyhave a txt reward) and the reward lasts a month, at the end of the month any of the unused reward expires and then they start to use the credit up. We don't have to top up EVERY month to get the reward- usually every 2-3 months, as the credit last a while too.

I would think you could stay on the same deal, but not top up for a few months to use up your balance. Sounds like a good deal though!
