I'm guessing their shares will drop over the coming weeks when people realise that their sales WILL be hit by this.
Their sales will surely drop, although with Hallowe'en and Bonfire Night coming up they'd still be expecting a seasonal rise. But no-one on here will be privy to any confidential like-by-like comparison to Oct 2008 sales for each store.

The accountants will factor in the downturn in the economy but will I imagine also factor in the potential liability of legal action had manufacturers started litigation (as rumoured the other day).

    Btw, Bham-Dave,

I too thank you out of courtesy. For months (since January) I have said that I cannot use printable coupons & I only rely on newspapers, magazines & mfg coupons. I like to come to printable coupon thread to read but most of my time are on competition thread.

I clicked thank you button to everybody who found coupons becoz like everyone says it is not easy to find new coupons. I know you might start looking for the post that I didn't thank to those who posted new coupons - well it could be over sight from me. So I apologise to the poster(s) in advance - before Bham-Dave attack me too :D
    DWW - no probs! :)

Said the other day, I don't attack people, I just always stand up for myself.

    Agreed.

I'll never mention it again, if no-one else ever mentions it again. :)

I used farmfoods conditional spend on saturday no problem except had to take it to customer service as the checkout supervisor said they can no longer put them thru' the till. don't know if this is all part and parcel of the new policy or not
