I understand where you are coming from and I certainly don't take it as a personal attack but if I had not read on here on Friday about the change in coupon policy I would have been totally unaware and would have handed my coupons over as normal anyway. I had phoned my local store on Friday afternoon and was told no more coupons, I then phoned a store further away and was told their policy hadn't changed so this is the store I went to. I also checked in store when I arrived to see if any signs had been put up and they had not so I thought I would chance it and see what happened.
I have always followed the policy to the letter avoiding any coupons like the Walls and Pedigree ones and would never intentionally get anyone into trouble (like the young lad). I was certainly made to feel extremely bad by the customer service staff. Maybe I should have checked with them first but as there was a long queue I decided just to see what happened at the till. I will certainly know for future!
You did nothing wrong. Legally you are entitled to pay for your shopping in buttons and fluff from the bottom of your pocket and if the shop are happy to accept them then that's fine.0 -

Morning all, had some lovely grub from Aldi yesterday - I'll be going again.
Our nearest Waity's is 20 miles away so that's a non starter.
I can walk to Morrisons at lunch time, so I'll be going there today for a look.
It was a bit weird going a whole weekend without stepping foot in Tesco's. I will have to use my 5p off petrol/diesel though that run's out on Saturday but that's all I'll be spending at T's for the next 4 weeks.
I've just had a look at my coupon spreadsheet (sad I know :rotfl:) and I've 'spent' over £6000 as Tesco's in the last 12 months not counting petrol/diesel. That's a big loss multiplied by the number of Tesco abstainers on this forum and beyond.
I'm guessing their shares will drop over the coming weeks when people realise that their sales WILL be hit by this.If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Couple of questions....After reading the article in The Sun ,do you think that the Pedigree moc brought down moc use in T's? ....if so ,then do you think it's possible that yesterdays posts showing all the links for Pedigree again and again and again ( making it really stand out and not disappear in all the blurb)will only lead to the downfall of moc use in Waitys?...
I'm assuming they are being used/taken in Waitys....
Another question... with hindsight ,wasn't PC right in wanting it removed in the first place?Think she needs a little back-up here peeps before she throws in the towel.....0 -
Got loads of these printed and cif and been checking offers for things i might actually need to buy.
I did vote not to spend in Ts but unfortunately they do work out the cheapest for these items.
castello cheese 2 for £2 with 2 50p coupons makes onencheese 50p rather than 1.52 ( recipes looked quite nice on calenders)
Domestos 2 for 1.50 use 2 x35p coupons makes them 40p each .
Perhaps not the best offers but all i can see at the moment.
When we had new coupons we posted in blue - a suggestion could we post in red if we see a glitch were a coupon either printed or in a supermarket mag that can be used in an offer to make the item next to nothing. A bit like the boots or the old Ts health and beauty offers. Ive still got a stash of free mitchum .0 -

I think oral B alcohol free taste better.Yes, Ive just done a small online order from Asda but this is already having an impact in my household - no joint of meat for tomorrows roast, a fridge full of Rustlers and we're running out of toiletries fast.
Netto selling 9 luxury toilet roll @ £2.99 & BOGOF. Don't know how luxury it will be until you try it yourself. (me - haven't bought any yet) :rotfl:strawberryberry wrote: »When we had new coupons we posted in blue - a suggestion could we post in red if we see a glitch were a coupon either printed or in a supermarket mag that can be used in an offer to make the item next to nothing. aww... does it mean I have to change colour again?I used to answered in blue then when blue was meant for new coupons I changed to red. might change to pink
if everyones agrees with strawbo.
BW - you only been gone 2 days & I already missed u....
Btw, Bham-Dave,
I too thank you out of courtesy. For months (since January) I have said that I cannot use printable coupons & I only rely on newspapers, magazines & mfg coupons. I like to come to printable coupon thread to read but most of my time are on competition thread.
I clicked thank you button to everybody who found coupons becoz like everyone says it is not easy to find new coupons. I know you might start looking for the post that I didn't thank to those who posted new coupons - well it could be over sight from me. So I apologise to the poster(s) in advance - before Bham-Dave attack me tooRIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
Princess_Coupon wrote: »Are we looking at the same post? 55 coupons, 6 for a product Tesco doesn't sell, posted Twice!
Again, dealing in hard facts, the links posted included 10 to 15 different individual coupons, 1 of which wasn't available in Tesco which was confirmed cos I investigated it and posted as such on the board.
You can have 100 links to the same coupon, but it will still just be 1 coupon. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
While I will be shopping in ASDA and ALDI for my main shop I have to nip to Tesco for a new blender as it is £6 cheaper than the identical one in ASDA, hope no-one minds as £6 is a lot to me.Barclaycard 3800
Nothing to do but hibernate till spring
