I went to Morrisons today and you wouldn't believe how cheap things are:

    1kg baby potatoes - 30p
    1kg coking onions - 30p
    iceberg lettuce - 30p
    Arla milk 2 litres - 74p

lovely experience! Things are very cheap elsewhere. How much would that have cost in Tesco's!!!

I will certainly avoid Tesco's, I have my car insurance due tomorrow and that will not be renewed with Tesco's value insurance - no chance!

I think there were many reasons for this policy change:
    1. media coverage as stated in the last few weeks as stated
    2. people buying £80 shops for pennies
    3. fraud - photocopies of coupons
    4. people registering at websites under different names and printing/ordering the same coupons
    5. each family member individually coming to shop in Tesco's by coupons
    6. tesco staff abusing coupon spends between themselves
    7. multiple shops by the same people on the same day
    8. criminal gangs operating at Tesco's stores
    9. Manufacturer power (magazine companies, king of shaves, dishwasher tablets etc suffering big time) / legal implications as a result
    10. Tesco's not getting paid by certain manufacterers

I think all these were factors in the policy changing .... but it may only be for 4 weeks from what I have read here!

    Best to shop elsewhere!

    Vote with your money.

Shop in aldi's, Lidl, Home and Bargains etc - their prices are far cheaper than Tesco's to begin with! Morrisons also have so many offers on - you will be surprised. Buying what is actually necesary rather than luxurious spends (paid previously by coupons) will I'm sure help everybody!
