you were thanked by me in one post because you re stated that the £3.80 coupons should not be used as they were not sold by tesco,s, so thanks where thanks due

in my other post you were thanked because at that time it was not known that the pedigree coupons would become a problem coupon policy killer.

may i ask that you also put up the posts that asked you not to post links to the mag coupons and your replys to those posts!

i give thanks when i think thanks are due, apart from the odd occasion when i give by mistake and as yet these cant be retracted!

i also used the pedigree coupons as my springer spaniel dennis actually eats the stuff, i wont apologise for using a coupon to buy a product i actually use, the problem came when people used these coupons willy nilly!

and if proof needed i actually own a dog pm me and you can happily see him

After the first post I PMed you very politely asking you to remove it as I was worried about the consequences of the high value, and the fact unlimited copies could be printed, unfortunately you chose to ignore me and leave it (then repost later!) and didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my PM.
It may seem petty me posting this now and I didn't intent to but when you so innocently write that you only posted it twice and everyone was so grateful "look how many thanks I got", I couldn't bite my tongue any longer.

    Afternoon All

I got my moc wallet out this morning, ready to sort my coupons for a shop today, and thought I'd come on here 1st to catch up - just taken me about 3 hours to catch up on the last few days posts. Haven't been to Mr T's since last weekend and looks like I won't be going now lol!

I can't say I am surprised that it has happened, only saddened and hope that it is only a temporary ban whilst they sort out a new policy. We all have read on here about the mass abuse again lately in certain stores - how the store managers allowed it to happen I can't understand  and I also believe that the Smart Coupons are largely to blame too. When we got the 1st coupons through Smart Coupons (think it was for Cow & Gate?) I emailed the manufacturer to tell them that the coupons were open to abuse by being able to print as many as you like - I never heard anything from them, and I think they are still available to print. It was obvious when the Pedigree ones were Smart Coupons that there would be some people that couldn't resist abusing them, especially as there were so many of them and 1 that was for such a high value. That is why after the 1st couple were posted I didn't print any of them (including the high value one).

No doubt there are some of those abusers that actually read beyond the 1st page (hoping to get more moc info) so thank you to you for helping to bring the moc policy at Tesco to an end :T:T:T :rolleyes:your greed has ruined it for everyone, but no doubt you don't care - you have either vast stocks of booze and goodies coming out of every cupboard in your house, or you have made lots of money flogging your dodgy coupons on fleabay!

It has been suggested by a few people that maybe Mr T should/could implement a policy of only accepting coupons if a clubcard is also used - does anyone know when they scan your clubcard if it shows up your name etc (i.e does it show if it is a registered clubcard)? I think this idea is a pretty good one, but obviously would only work if it showed the SA if it was a registered card or not:confused:

Off to try and do a bit of bargain shopping hunting (wish Morrisons was on mysupermarket.co.uk) got an Aldi 2 mins up the road so will be going back to do most of our shopping there now. Asda I quite like, but it is quite a trek to and I find it a bit dearer than Mr T's for what I buy, but I do quite like Lidl - so might try going there a bit more often.

Good to see Bully back posting again:T

Oh and not coupon related, but if any of you are looking for a bike for your little ones for Christmas. Halfords have got a 1/3rd of their Apollo range of bikes until tomorrow - online only, but can reserve and pick up in store. Went looking for one for youngest last week - had his heart set on one, but told him it was too dear - was looking on Friday night and saw that it had been reduced - so got a bargain and a very happy 3 year old yesterday:D

    Hi everybody,

Phew...took me ageeees to read all your comments but, at the end at last.
I have been using coupons for roughly 3 months and am grateful for all the money i have saved...so, a big thank you to all'. At the moment i have 1 of the high value pedigree coupons sitting in my 'stash', didn't manage to use it- only one i had as well- but, hey ho not the end of the world!

I think i maybe lucky as i have a Waitrose due to open quite near me in Nov, although i know it will depend on their policy...i dont know if all Waitrose adhere to some or all of national policy, so , i'll have to wait and see with fingers crossed it will be positive.

Could someone from Edinburgh give me any idea of the policy of the 2 Waitrose which are there... (only 2 in Scotland at the mo)

I do think T's will at some point accept MOC's again...but when, and how many is the problem now.

I read on another thread that Morrisons accept an amount without purchase of the items...i've never heard of this before, has anyone else? I will ask next time i go there and report back.

Well MOC chums, thanks again for all the info and banter, and i hope things improve soon for everybody.

And a big thanks to the Tesco staff who keep us informed.

    jax xx
  • :rotfl:However I am planning a trip to my local Mr Ts tomorrow to hopefully use 2x £5 off £30 Waitys coupons, 1x£5 off £50 Ffoods, 1x £3 off £30 Tesco conditional spend coupons, my £25 moneycards from head office and possibly some of my double up wine coupons. :D Hope my favourite cashier will be working :rotfl:

Just paid my last visit for 4 weeks. Spent £63.24, but managed to use all my conditional spends, moneycards and 2 wine double ups leaving me 24p to pay :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Told my SA that he won't be seeing me for a while ;) as I've made some new coupon friends at Waitrose :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • I went to my Local which is the big one at the RICOH in Cov, signs up absolutely eveywhere, went to my usual scan happy SA, who before I'd even put my shopping on informed me policy had changed, she said they had been told to accept them until 3pm Friday, I am absolutely gutted, as a redundant mum of 3 I have been using coupons for all my nappies, and food stuff for months it has been such a hugh help to us financially and now I think until I find another job we are going to really struggle, I only wish they'd have given us a bit of notice at leats then i could have used up the £150 worth that I have been saving towards my Christmas shop.
