Got proof today (if I had needed it) that the shopping experience in Waitys is far better than at grotty T's!:D

I had bought a pack of 4 pork steaks among my shopping the other day, after they were opened they started to niff in the fridge (use by date 30th).

So I took them back, in spite of 3 problems:

    1. I had got them at another branch of Waitys, and

    2. I couldn't find the receipt, and

    3. We had eaten 2 of them the day before (which were OK)

Now if this had been Tesco they would have argued in front of other customers, called security, accused me of shoplifting, requisitioned my clubcard and then set the dogs on me...

...but this was Waitys so the girl listened and apologised, refunded my money and replaced the whole pack of 4 pork steaks for free.

    :T:T I totally agree :T:T
Took an iceberg lettuce back today that I bought last sunday but that had a display by date for today which was brown inside. Absolutely no quibble, replaced lettuce and full refund plus genuine apology. :j

I find that i am popping into Waitrose regularly now especially as they will take 6 coupons each time, so I pick up treats that I wouldn't normally buy as well as some fab bargains from their reduced counter (got 2 large free range ducks for the freezer for £6 each instead of £18 each and paid with finnish, wilkinson sword, pedigree, sma and warbies coupons) :D:D
  • 2*90p off a tube of Pringles 165g at Tesco only

I used my mocs tonight, but they didn't scan, despite having bought the right item. How typical of Tesco  The mocs were put through as non scan though, so 2 tubs of pringles for 9p. :D

  • I had a good deal on the Surf Twilight and Comfort Twilight in Sainsburys tonight. I had only got 2 papers, but had the 2 mocs from each paper scanned, plus 2 x 40p Comfort mocs, so paid £2.80 for 2 tubs of liqui-tabs and 2 bottles of Comfort.:D

    Happy Weekend Everyone!!

Had a leaflet thru' the door yesterday invited me to a public open day regarding a planning application to build a Lidl neighbourhood food store within a mile of me. Is this a small version of a Lidl and are the prices the same? I assume they will take the spend and saves? Could be great news if it goes ahead. Anyway it said there will be lots of samples of their foods to try that day. :j
