    Now that what called a REAL COMPER bully,......what a fantastic wins you have had.....!!!!!

    Now that gave me a encouragement to start comping LOL.....!!!!

    I too decide many times to enter the comps but just my laziness don't put it in real....

    may I ask what radio channel you genrally use for comps...???

    off to comping thread NOW....:rotfl::rotfl::T:T:T
    I would start off with local radio stations...both the commercial ones and the local BBC have some excellent comps...get yourself a cheap non digital telephone as they dial the number quicker...dial the number of the comp line before you want to enter and then hang up before they answer, then when they announce the comp, you only have to hit the redial button....get yourself a radio that is also non digital...DAB's and listening on the internet and via your TV are always transmitting quite a long time behind...if you tune in on a good old fashioned radio then tune in with a DAB... time the difference in transmission...those 15/20/30 secs sometimes as much as a minute delay make all the difference when you want to be first to get through.....;)
    When you have gained confidence after being 'live' on air...go for all the others....up until a couple of years ago the calls were always free...Virgin, Classic ,Heart and Century etc ...but now all cost money even if you don't get to go through on air...bully tries never to pay anything to enter comps...the comping rules have really tightened up as well and it is a lot fairer than it used to be.......good luck ....

    Sorry Dr Who-Who you are quite right , this must make you think you are in the wrong forum and this is nothing to do with this thread...you are quite right it is totally off topic , but as things are very quiet on the moc front I'm merely trying to help peeps get something to make up for lack of mocs...a little encouragement from a serious comper to newbie or non compers to get them started ....sorry to other peeps too if I'm out of order...will go and stand in the naughty corner
