Well done ...was that a pic of your hubby on the website?

Yeah that's hubby! I entered using his email address, as well as a few others I have, and it was the first time I ever entered that particular competition so I was well chuffed when I won!

If do call Tesco ask to speak to the Cash Office as they will tell you the correct response as to will they or won't they.

I had checked at Customer Services re the Waitrose only to be told I could use it. When I went to pay for my shopping they would not take it. Spoke to the Cash Office and they had decided that day to reject Waitrose coupons as there was no store within 3 miles of them.

It's been said before, but stores cannot do that with the Conditional Spend policy. It isn't related at all to the proximity of the rival store and is a national policy with no store manager discretion.

The only real difficulty is with the non-99 barcode issue (like with today's Lidl voucher). Some Tesco will not allow any non-scans at all (which was a separate directive from HO I believe) so if your store is like that then it's a hard one to argue.

Either way, the fivers plus receipts can always be sent to HO in Dundee for a refund - best to include a covering letter stating that you 'know it should have been allowed under Tesco's conditional spend policy'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I would like to thank the person who posted the Somerfield £5 off a £30 spend via the leaflets in store. I have managed to save £30 this week on my shopping and managed to buy quite a few Christmas presents. So thanks again xx

It was playing up for me earlier...a bit hit and miss at the moment, reckon it's 'cos it's a wet Sat and everybody in a comping mood...
  • My local Tesco, Wath upon Dearne, will not accept the Lidl voucher. I didn't visit the store but the lady on the phone insists they will not take it. I mentioned that this was contrary to national policy and she replied "My manager has told us to refuse it." No point arguing, but I wish all Tesco would operate a consistent policy nationwide.

The Fairy dishwasher tablets that are on half price offer at Tesco are the 2 in 1. The vouchers are £2 off Fairy PLATINUM LEMON OR ORIGINAL which are about £7.48 a packet - so not such a bargain. Wait and see if they come on offer before the expiry date as I don't think Tesco will allow you to use the voucher on the Fairy 2 in 1 if they are being so picky about coupons now. :(
  • Good point- I`d say we stand NO chance of using them on the 2 in 1. Will hang onto the coupon for now, thanks for clearing that up :D
