'ello mad and all our friends on here.:T
It comes to something when this thread is almost deserted and mad's talking to himself, lol! Even the newspaper thread is about to drop to page 4 of the board. Who would have thought things could all change this month so quickly, we all went out and got a life!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes it's quiet here.
Just adding Argos vouchers are back on Sat.
Also I use a site - it won't let me post a link but it's;
offer of the day . co . uk
You can do several searches on it but I like to check it daily and click items reduced today - it shows you biggest reductions but you can change that to "price" I have picked up quite a few bargins at Debenhams using this method as there is a free del code for them, mostly kids clothing.
Just thought I would mention it incase anyone didn't know the site.
Another tip;
On the Argos site type "clearance" and then you can select your local stores to see what they have - sometimes you find a good item when you aren't particualy looking for something, I mangaed to get a PS3 game for £10 and it was cheaper than anywhere else - serched what 3 stores near me had and thats how I found it.
also
Debenhams type "clearance" and you can then see all items and price from low to high, be warned over 2000 items, but you can just browse through in price order. Be warned though some item that show up are not available when you try to add them to your basket.0 -

evening folks, ............just received this, a little bit coupon related
:p but it did make me laugh.
Yesterday I was at my local CO-OP buying a large bag of Purina dog food for my loyal pet and was in the checkout queue when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.
What did she think I had, an elephant? So, since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in hospital last time, but that I'd lost 2 stones before I woke up in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in queue was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked me if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's ar*se and a car hit us both.
I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.
I'm now banned from the Co-op.
Better watch what you ask retired people. They have all the time in the world to think of daft things to say. :rotfl::rotfl:keep up the boycott folks......every little helps.0 -
Just been to Asda for the first time since I went for the quantuam tablets months ago. The staff are so friendly, they actually smile and want to help:eek:, even this late at night. Just a shame they don't take coupons except when buying. Managed to get some boxes of shredded wheat for 70p (on offer £1, used 30p coupon) and cheerios 75p (on offer £1, used 25p pik a pac coupon-wasn't cheerio coupon but was ok).
Noticed that Heinze soups were on offer, 82p each or 4 for £2, so 50p each.
Still got loads from when other place had them on offer.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
