  • Just popped in to my local Morrisons to have a nosey since avoiding Mr T's and have come home with 6 x 1lt Robinson Squashes at 50p each (limited to 50p per customer), a pack of crusty rolls for 60p which normally costs 99 at Mr T's and and some crispy salad for 80p usually Mr T's is £1.

Definitely going to broaden my horizons now as with the coupon's it didn't matter what Mr T's charged, but now it does.

The Robinson's squash is a national campaign saw it on tv last night.

  • Not wanting to come over as being funny towards you, so please don't take this the wrong way.

Sometimes people really do have no choice on where they shop. My next nearest supermarket is Morrisons. Its only small, so I can't get everything I need there and not everything is cheaper. I go to Asda last night as OH agreed to take me there, but its further still and also doesn't carry everything I need. I will shop around for bargains and get what I can elsewhere, but have to factor in prices and petrol. I will only go to T's when I have to, but there will be times when I do have to, even if only for just the bear minimum possible.

My store only had a 5 moc policy anyway, unfortunatel,y and even that saving will be missed, as its near enough that I could go a few times each week. I just don't have the budget to pay higher prices and I don't have Aldi or Lidl near by. At the end of the day, we have to eat for the next 4 weeks and I need to have the money to pay for what I buy. I'll do what I can to boycott T's, but within reason for my circumstances.

I did go to T's on Monday - to return something.... and I spent less in there than I had refunded, purely on necessities.

Don't worry, not taken the wrong way.:D I realise that some people have no choice, I was just trying to urge those that do have a choice, to maybe miss out on a few small bargains this month for the sake of the policy.

It may make no difference whatsoever, but surely its worth a try? And by the sounds of your post, that is exactely what you are doing.

Mad used to like getting a few cans in the after. Was tempted today but could see Coupon-mad going :naughty: so I declined :rotfl:

Well Coupon-mad is now a Waitys shopper too, and enjoying the good customer service. :D

Today I drove to a different Waitrose to try to find one that takes more than 3 mocs if you don't buy the product. Sadly they said '3 max' as well, but that was in addition to any you use where you have bought the items, and in addition to the Sun fiver.

So I spent £31.85 and got £16 off (a few small ones I had bought, a Sun fiver, 3 x Finish that I had been saving for a rainy day - today!).

And all Waitys stores seem to be giving out a fiver for next week if you use this week's one there. Prompt the cashier if this isn't offered. So all the more reason to go to Waitys if you can, checking the policy first in each store and not going too crazy of course.

    Hi
This is my very first post so hope this is in the correct thread!! Just rang Customer Services, at a Waitrose branch on the South Coast and asked about their coupon policy. I was told that whilst their policy is under review, currently they will accept any manufacturers coupon as long as they stock the product. You don't have to buy the product to use the coupon and you can use up to 5 coupons that are all for the same product. Already have the £5 off a £30 spend Waitrose coupon from Saturdays Sun....Guess where I'm heading this afternoon........not Mr T that's for sure?!!
Hope this helps someone save a few pennies.

Discountcrazy, I would suggest you might like to remove the town name of the Waitrose you phoned (and make an advanced edit to remove it from the title). It's not a good idea to advertise a single named store's coupon policy to the MSE world.

Also, my sister-in-law lives in that area and she uses that store, with mocs (she also used to use Tesco). They only allow 2 or 3 if you haven't bought the item, so don't make a special journey!

  • Ive managed to convince family members and work collegues to boycott tescos, not only for groceries but petrol to. Hope the profits go down over the next 4 weeks and maybe , just maybe they may introduce the policy again.

well you know what they say..."every little bit helps!" :rotfl:
