  • I've not posted much for a long time, as my store had a printable moc ban in place for ages and if I found one to share, someone had always beat me to it, lol.

Requests have been made to share bargains found elsewhere though, so this I can post about.

    Asda last night:
Hartleys no-bits jam. smaller than T's but at 78p and 2 for £1 you save 29p and get an extra 226g
    Homepride sauces £1.46 [same as T's] but 2 for £2, saving 92p
Mccains Potato Smiles £1, saving 15p on T's
    Muller Vitailty drinks are £1 a pack. T's is 2 for £3
Birds Eye Petit Pois £1.98, saving 2p on T's offer price
4 pack of Princes Juciee Orange juice £2 - T's value oj is 56p
Small bottles of Head and Shoulders are £1 - T's £1.84
Also got a huge 1kg bottle of HP brown sauce for £2, 2kg bag Rooster red potates for £1, Philidelphia at £1 and some rolls reduced to 10p and punnets of plums reduced to 22p.

I got to Morrisons half an hour before they shut on Monday night and got a delicious hot chicken at half price, [£1.99] which did dinner than night and sandwiches yesterday too... and the cat thought he'd died and gone to heaven on his share.:D

Are people still searching for more coupons because I think this is our best bet for getting bargains at the moment especially a couple of larger ones for every day products.

Not preaching to anyone but we MUST keep searching for the elusive moc!! Hopefully when manufacturers see that T's are not abusing them any more they will start issuing more.....I think otherwise their sales are going to drop seriously! I know it's no justification but even though I may not have been using moc's on the correct product I was using them on some-ones product! Next time I may have used some-one else's on one of their products so sales were maintained!!! Now I just buy what we absolutely need so nobody is benefiting and everyone's sales drop! Will it cause job loses, maybe, depends on how many couponers there were but my T's was very quiet at the weekend and according to the SA that I use there was only a couple of 'heavy' moc users there so only time will tell.....
:p:p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS! :p:p :rotfl:;)

I totally agree, can't believe how many people are still going. Some have said that can't afford not to. I believe we can't afford to shop there for the next three and a half weeks. This could mean the difference between loosing couponing for the next three and a half weeks or forever! So come on guys, do your best, this is our one chance to make a difference.:D

P.S Chantelle, this has nothing to do with you, so don't waste your time reading it.

Not wanting to come over as being funny towards you, so please don't take this the wrong way.

Sometimes people really do have no choice on where they shop. My next nearest supermarket is Morrisons. Its only small, so I can't get everything I need there and not everything is cheaper. I got to Asda last night as OH agreed to take me there, but its further still and also doesn't carry everything I need. I will shop around for bargains and get what I can elsewhere, but have to factor in prices and petrol. I will only go to T's when I have to, but there will be times when I do have to, even if only for just the bear minimum possible.

My store only had a 5 moc policy anyway, unfortunately, and even that saving will be missed, as its near enough that I could go a few times each week. I just don't have the budget to pay higher prices and I don't have Aldi or Lidl near by. At the end of the day, we have to eat for the next 4 weeks and I need to have the money to pay for what I buy. I'll do what I can to boycott T's, but within reason for my circumstances.

I did go to T's on Monday - to return something.... and I spent less in there than I had refunded, purely on necessities.

I can't speak for anybody else here, but I only went in for the cheapo branded stuff & nothing else, if I can save 60% of the item comparing to other supermarket I still go in for that particular item(s).

As for Asda, I don't know how many of you knows - if they overcharged you for a certain item - go to the customer service, show them the receipt & the item, they will refund you not only the balance (say the item is £1. & it scanned £1.50 - you get back your 50p) but also they will have to give you £2.00 gift card thats their policy (some customer service will not give you if you dont ask - I don't know whether they pretend to be stupid or they genuinely forgot to give the £2 - but I always make sure I come out with £2 gift card if they make a mistake on my receipt).

Where is this policy advertised so I can quote it next time Asda get my bill wrong which in my experience there is 1 out of every 2 or 3 shops, usually not taking multisaves off!

When they 1st open, there was a huge sign saying that. After a while I think they assumed that all their customer knows about it. Or maybe there are too many customers claiming it, I don't know. But I do know, that the policy still stands. All you have to do is ask - eg: after they paid your refund, just say - eh.. if I am not mistaken, I will get the £2 gift card too, don't I? She might said "Oh yes" or she might pretend to be ignorant & said "yes, I will sort it out for you". Either way, make sure you get your £2 gift card on each receipt not each item(s) charged wrongly.

The Mr T cheapo Heinz is deffo in more than just my store. My sis checked and she's in another part of the country. You have to find it in different places. One a dump bin near the escalator up. If I use their excalator, it will mean that I am at the top of their roof :rotfl: :D Two a dump bin near the immigrant foods  . They seem to move it about every time, this is the ONLY reason I go to Mr T now, I am boycotting, but if they've got Heinz soup (Chicken and barley posh) for20/30p per tin, I'll take advantage shamelessly (don't blame you, I would too) . Needless to say, it's all I will be buying. Not bad, but still boycotting - but obviously none of us can afford to cut our nose off to spite our face. (very true) :) Also, Asda have started to change their yellow ticket policy, I tend to find lots if I go in at 2ish in the afternoon. I know it's no help to those that work then, sorry :(

I always missed Asda yellow tickets even before I know about Tesco coupons. Softpad, thank you for your post. Much appreciated. I hope I didn't sound rude to you when I posted that my T does not have offers on Heinz. My family love Heinz but not as much as they love Baxter!

Talk about Baxter, you can get it for 59p (limited range) from Home Bargains. If any of you never been to Home Bargains in your area, do drop in, you will be surprise what you can find there.

    Thanks :D

He can usually only have dried food, bless him [rescue cat from RSPA who was taken in VERY poorly], so a bit of cooked chicken is a real treat for him.

I was going to Netto this lunchtime but OH's already been to our local one and picked up the cheap toilet roll and a few other bargains so I'm going to Home Bargains instead for some soup :D, if they don't have the flavours I want I'll pop into the Coop nearby (although they are usually a bit pricey)
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D
