Sky email for life (ex Sky customers)

Hello
According to Sky you can use their email even after you have left them:
http://www.sky.com/services/email/emailforlife/
I'm leaving Sky and would like to access the same email address.
Has anyone who has left Sky used their old Sky email address?
I have 3 addresses, can you access all of them?
Can you access them on Outlook or web only?

I'm still with Sky so have not had to try this but as Sky email is really Google mail, which is a free service, then keeping the former should not be a problem.
I'd suggest getting a Google mail account as well as a back up.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
