HSBC Advance Bank Account no longer advertised

Hi guys
I have noticed on HSBC website, that HSBC have now dropped Advance Bank account and i believe replaced by Bank Account. Could any confirm this and whether it has the same criteria for the Bank Account, previously known as Advance Account? i.e £500+ credit monthly. If a customer fails to meet the criteria then it would either be downgraded to current account or even basic account?
This may previously been discussed in the forums, but i could not find any mention of this.

Yes mate, its now called bank Account and is the exact same as the Advance Account..... nothing different at all, even the criteria. My online used to say Advance A/C and now says Bank A/C
So you have the following choices
Plus Account (£12.95 pm)
Bank Account (Free)
Basic Account (Free)2010 - year of the troll

Well they do have a criteria for anyone who are prepared to give £50K in savings to have a premier account! I think it is more common than people think how many customers have Premier accounts. To be honest, i don't see any point in having one, cos HSBC in some cases will charge a monthly fee.0 -

Yea there are a lot of Premier customers, but a big mortgage and no savings can achieve the same end result - i'd get one if I had their mortgage but i'd be paying over £500pm for the privilege - ermmm, somehow not quite worth it me thinks :rolleyes:2010 - year of the troll

Go down to middle of page where you see ACCOUNT ELIGIBILITY.
It clearly states that if customer does not meet the criteria for bank account, then it will either be downgraded to CURRENT account -unless this info is out of date!never-in-doubt wrote: »No current account mate - where you see that?
