firstly i am on a PAYG with o2.
not sure what to do with what i recieved on my mobile this evening, hoping one of you might help
first i had a text about signing up to ringtone, to which i had to text a number to get them and on the end had the text stop to stop message. as i don't want any ring tones i deleted it.didn't pay any attention to details as had no interest in signing up.
problem now is i've had in my service inbox on my phone i've now got 5 messages. none of which show a number from who they were sent from.
all to do with ringtones.
2 want me to click on them to join which of course i'm not going to do.
the other 3 are the problem. they are from t mobile which i'm not with.
title is t mobile weekly tone. each with diff date. saying i've paid a £1 - click for my tone ( not going to click on it)
my problem is i've not knowingly sihned up to any ringtone service and i've checked my balance and they've taken the money (£1 X 3) very annoyed.
what do i do as i don't want to lose any more phone credit.i have entered a few text competitions in the past for mse( not done so for at least a week) and use my mobile number for competitions posted on mse could it have been through that without my knowledge.
please help i need to stop them taking more
thanks

Just dont respond to them for a start.
And secondly phone o2 to make sure you are not subscribed to anything.
Have you recently switched from t-mobile? Might just be a scam putting saying its from t-mobile.
O2 should be able to work out who is sending the messages and you can make a complaint to PhonePayplus http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/0 -
hi
thanks for the quick reply
thanks for advise no way i would click on them not into silly ring tones
will ring o2 and see what they say.
was with t.mobile briefly about 4 years ago but had a diff number. crap reception around here so changed fairly quickly been with o2 ever since. this is first prob with mobile. looked to details but no senders number so that concern me too.another reason i wouldn't open it.
will see what o2 say then try that website thanks

latest
have just spent 40 mins on the phone with o2,tried to explain they were in my service inbox not normal text inbox, finally got them to understand what i meant ,i think. for chap to speak to his supervisor and be told to go to my nearest o2 shop for them to look at it and sort it out. what a wasted call.
oh well off to town tomorrow so we''l see what happens
thanks for your help0 -
Oh sorry to hear it took so long. Pop into their shop and have a good moan about the call time - never know might get a discount of some sort. At least if it gets sorted, then you can rest your mind assured someone is not scamming you.

well have been to shop, young girl no idea what they were, but rang t mobile for me anyway and says shes got my number removed. i assume this means i'm off there mailing/text list. we will see if i get any more.
not very welcoming in shop just glad to hopefully get it sort and get out of there . no refund on lost credit although not to bothered as long as its been stopped.
think when this credit runs outs i'll change my sim card/number.
thanks for all your help

Good to hear - it sounds like t-mobile put you on their messaging list without realising you had ported out to o2.
You shouldn't really have to change the number - would recommend doing it if you were getting nuisance calls/texts continiously - t-mobile should hopefully fix their system,0
