These guys stole my money.

I ordered a mobile which I wasn't happy with, so I contacted them and they told me to send it back within 5 days for a refund. I returned it as instructed. They then, a week or so later (after several emails on my part) said that they had received the phone and had refunded my money to my Credit card. But they lied.
They are now ignoring my e-mails and I can't get my money back.

They are fraudsters!

    I've posted negative reviews on seller websites to start with. I highly suspect they have posted a couple of reviews of themselves - a couple have appeared on different websites of the same style from similar names. ONe from a Robert Hardy and interestingly 'Robert' is the name of the customer service guy who I've had poor customr service from -mmmm

    Any other ideas for action I could take? I intended to be a major pain in the !!!! to them - Hate the fact the companies like this just rely on the fact that there is little you can do and assume eventually you'll give up.

    Any ideas? / sites I could post on?
  • Ive had trouble with these guys. Had a faulty phone aand they came up with all kinds of excuses; delays in replying to my mails and eventually just started ignoring me. Awful customer service. Gave up in the in end..Annoys me that people like this get away with it. Id rather pickle my own eyeballs than deal with oceanwavemobiles ever again. may pop in if I'm ever in the area and say hello.

    Cred it card chargeback. It's not a difficult procedure and certainly more effective than wasting time, venting on here (where you'll always get sympathy, but never your money back.)

    Not a fortune I admit - but it's the prinicple. How do I go about the Chargeback?

    IS there a time limit - this was beginning/middle of sept

  • Depends on the card - I think with Visa it can be up to 120 days from the transaction.

    I don't know how long you have with any other card type, I'm afraid.

    It's a Mastercard - will pop into bank. Tried ringing but their customer service is pretty bad too over the phone!

    Oceanwavemobiles are the same people as AUDIO MANIA .

    So beware if ordering from either company - decency seems a bit beyond them.

    Spoke to the bank.

    They needed all the e-mails - incidentally which all state they will/have refunded me.

    So will see what happens....

    true, but this is about warning others of poor service etc- so not a total waste of time huh?
    Plus the theraputic nature of venting is...blah , blah , blah
    Plus if poeple search for the company through search engines - peoples experiences come up

    so hey ho oceanwavemobiles bashing is the order of the day - robbing scumbags!

    Still on-going. Bank are processsing chargeback - so i've been refunded the money and we'll see what happens....watch this space

    Cheeky b*****ds (oceanwavemobiles) have altered my reviews I left on their site about their service - to say things like " great" etc. Had to laugh - quite funny really. Now in a battle where I selectively leave negative reviews on their site in random places (under where the phone reviews are supposed to go and they have to find them and alter them.

    Amsues the heck out of me - 10 mins here and there cutting and pasting a review randomly for them to find - :rotfl:

    They also leave fake reviews of themselves under names like 'princeJames1' / 'Robert Hardy' on various review sites.
