I have retuned my TV and three Freeview boxes and each one still shows the .... message about retuning and pressing the yellow button. Can I have some help please. Is this message going to be on my screen for the rest of my life. I don't like the intrusion in the first place without having to live with it after today.
Please save my sanity and let me know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you have only done 1 retune of your devices, then it might need another retune, they had issues with Ch5 i think, in some regions, so another retune will fix it... (*hopefully*) ^_^Laters

Make sure that you do a new installation, rather than just a rescan.0

There is nothing that you can do to stop them broadcasting the reminder. You have retuned but others may still be on holiday etc. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Funnily enough, only my Sony PVR shows the 'retune' message, My Bush one doesn't, and never did.Never Knowingly Understood.

Not MHEG capable.
Retuning/rescanning/reinstalling has no effect on the reminder message being broadcast! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Found this online.Basic re-tuning normally only takes a few minutes:
> Switch on your Freeview TV or box and press 'menu' on the remote control
> Select the 'set up' or 'installation' option then ‘first time installation’ option (sometimes called 'factory reset', 'full retune’ or 'default settings').
> Press ‘OK’ if your equipment asks if you want to delete all your channels Don't worry this is normal.
> If you are prompted for a code, try 0000 or 1234. Channels will be automatically installed. Your equipment may shut down and restart.

Funny how you can't press the yellow button for a short time, but you can retune your telly 5 times.0
