Cheap contract advice

Hi all,

I have been surfing the site for a while and finally decided to sign up to the forum!

I need some advice on a new contract - I'm looking to get the cheapest deal I can for about 400 mins and 400 texts. I'm an old hat when it comes to cashback/chequeback deals so I haven't got an issue with taking one out and don't really mind what network I end up on. (Btw, this is a new contract I need to take out for my daughter replacing PAYG, so talking to retentions or similar bodies are out of the question)

I'm not fussy about getting a new phone with it - Afaik, my daughter already has a 'wicked' phone and isn't looking to change it anytime soon! The focus really is on getting the cheapest deal I can per month

I've been trying (in vain) to get CPW to budge and give me a good deal but they won't, telling me all the usual excuses such as 'we don't do chequebacks anymore'. I'm keen to go with a reputable supplier, as I've been burnt by e2save and OSPS before.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help

Cashback via redemption can be a pain, as you have you send in the bills every x months. But automatic cashback/free gifts generally work fine.

Outside of cashback, you could consider directly buying from an operator.

Before signing a contract, ensure you have a signal in the areas you want to use it!!!

Then see if taking out any of these, you can get purchase cashback via say TopCashBack or Quidco

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
  • @darkconvict - thanks for the information.

I know that getting cashback claims are a bit of a pain, but I've been pretty successful in the past and save for a dodgy encounter once with e2save, I've always managed to get my money back. Are there any deals out there that have a cashback deal available?

    Spot on, though!
(Must say that your advice of late has been back to your usual knowledgable, helpful best. I am sure that the OP's have found it very useful and informed, as I did.)
