Just got a call from OH about his insurance claim. They said everything in looking in his favour, but it's the girl on the other end of it who's holding back. Saying she has a witness but isn't submitting the details or something? Hoping she hurries up!
Woop, 45mins till hometime!0 -
Lol witness that the car drove itself sideways?! She'll be trying to find a family friend to lie for her.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yeah, it was her friend in the car with her at the time  I'd like to hear how a car moves sideways though0

Afternoon
Not done much in the way of money making, decided to wrap some of my Christmas presents after dinner with my pretty Laura Ashley wrapping paper to find it's really thin you can basically see everything through it! So I've sent them an email complaining and we'll see what happensall tiddled off now because I'll have to go buy MORE wrapping paper and have a roll and a half of that lingering around my room for the rest of time because I can't use it!
Anyways *ahem* Going to get on with STP in a bit - aiming for £3.50 today0 -
If you'd have known you could have wrapped them in newspaper first, thus making it less see-through and also adding to the mystery and excitement for the opener!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

It would add mystery!
But paying £3.50 for a 3m roll of paper that's the same quality as the 20p rolls you get in wilkos it a bit of a rip off
The canvas pictures I got for people have a padded thing around them so I wrapped over them and it looks so pretty! Just a shame I can't use it on anything else.

I won't use paper, it drives me mad, just goes in landfill anyway and its the same as throwing my money away. I'd rather get a better pressie, or give it to charity. We have about 30 present bags in our household that just get reused again and again, although we often end up with some odd fits (pair of earings in a 60cm bag!)Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That is annoying, can you wrap stuff with tissue paper and then use that on top?0

Hello! I've finally made it to Cinny's place! Yoohoo!:hello:
Darn my compulsion to read a thread in full before posting, it's taken me days to read! Stop talking so much!:p
If it makes you feel better about the LA paper I got an e-mail from the Telegraph saying that in the weekend newspaper there's a voucher for a free roll of wrapping paper from Waitrose, do you have one near you?
We tend to use giftbags more than paper, last year we had to buy a load of new ones because the bags were so ratty and the tags had about 10 names written on and scribbled out! My SIL doesn't get the giftbag thing though and takes them away with her after Christmas, she's supposed to leave them behind and put her stuff in carrier bags! We'll have to get her trained! :rolleyes:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I don't really like wrapping things twice, makes the outer layer look really messy! OHs families gift and my Sisters OH came in brown paper boxes so I'm going to wrap over those. I think I'm just going to get gift bags for the rest, like Dinah said at least they can be re-used!0
