T-Mobile Problem
Hi All
I'm new to this forum so if this needs to be moved to another area I apologise.
We are having some problems with T-mobile regarding their mobile broadband which is currently in hand (well, into the 3rd month now) but I have noticed that the price of my partners mobile (we have both our mobiles and broadband on one account) has risen from when she first took it out by nearly £2.00 (not alot I know but still didnt know until today).
This and the above problem plus they wont allow me to lower my price plan (as am unemployed currently) and I have been able to do this with previous suppliers. All they offered me was £2.50 discount or a HIGHER price plan.
To be honest, we want to leave but not sure if we possibly can get out of the contracts....
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

A few more details such as the cost per month and contract lengths would make it a little easier to help but the only way out of a T-mobile contract after 3mths is if the phone has been miss-sold (sp?). If your original contract states that the cost per month should be lower supply it to them and get them to reduce the cost per month. As for downgrading the contract t-mobile generally dont allow it on new contracts to recoup the cost of subsidising the phone. TBH the customer collections department at t-mobile arn't too sympathetic to peoples situations but you could give them a try on the off chance that they will be able to assist but they can be cranky, even to other staff , so sucking up helps a lot.0

Sorry, I'm on a Flext35 (£35.00pm) 18mnth which has 9 months to run and my girlfriend is on a Combi20(s/be £20pm) which has 6 months left.
I just find them really unhelpful whenever I try to get answers from them and like I said, with this and the whole mobile broadbannd issue (It stay connected for 20 minutes if I'm lucky before losing connection). I'm just fed up with them completely!!0 -
were you unemployed when you took out the contract? if so then you will prob not have a leg to stand on, if you can prove youve lost your job or similar your circumstances may be considered.10k in 2010 - £350.77 :beer:0

Generally you cannot quit unless there is a breach in the contract. An operator is not responsible for a change in your circumstances, i.e. been made unemployed but they can help voluntary on compassionate grounds. But on the other hand if the operator removes a mast from your area then you lose signal and those you do have grounds to cancel.
T-Mobile, only allow a tariff change in the last 1-2 months of a contract now, they used to allow it sooner but changed it. Maybe this is something you could state that you used to beable to do it.
Most operators allow a change after 9 months.
As to the change in the GF monthly price, this maybe due to an offer. When she signed up was she offered a reduced bill for x number of months, this may have expired. If not enquire why, as you are signed up to a set fee, which only should change due to a change in VAT. They cannot change the price without a valid reason, this may give her reason to cancel if they have done so.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

I know that it wasnt a special offer and the price is before VAT so will enquire why tonight.
Thank you everyone0 -
If they cannot, or will not tell you why it has changed. You could go as far as doing a SAR. Which means they must supply all data they hold on you, so the contract, terms& conditions, statements and more importantly for you any changes to the account, be it manual or automatic.

But there are more detailed ones (2+ pages of requested information), although they may apply more towards banks/credit cards.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
