Just done my first Mrs Twins square as have been admiring the lovely blankets, and so have tried a pattern I have never done before from my book. It came out at about 4" so I had to be creative but it looks OK I think.
Mrs Twins, I see you say you have found a job - I think it may last some time! Please could you PM me your address.
Chalky, blankets look fab and what a lovely project with your DIL.

    Hi everyone.

Well, I lost my internet connection last night for some unknown reason but, after fiddling around with the livebox and cables, I managed to get it back, thankfully.

We watched the first few election results come in but couldn't stay awake for long. I thought that by the time I woke up this morning, the result would have been more or less definite but I see that it isn't. We'll just have to wait until all the results are in.

I finished a Chalky square last night and started another one. When that's finished I shall search online for some more patterns for a bit more variety, and I shall also do some ten-minute preemie hats, too, because I have a lot of oddments in pastel shades to use up.

Thankfully, I'm feeling a bit more upbeat now - I seemed to sink like a stone earlier in the week which I think was due to how intense the last few weeks have been. I'm still missing DS2 and his family, though, but I'll have to content myself with some lovely memories.

I hope everyone is feeling well.

ISOM - how is your Mum?

Chalky - hope both the weddings go well. What a lot of planning that must be for you! I'm sure the puppies will go down really well.

Elaine - hope Jayden James is doing well.

May - hope you have a good day today.

    Good morning everyone,
Mrs Twins I'm so pleased that you liked the squares, I'm assuming we can send more as and when we have some ready?
ISOM glad to hear your mum's improving, and I'm sure Isoke won't object to the extra cuddles.
Mioliere pleased to hear you're feeling more like yourself, it can be so hard sometimes.
Jean there's certainly no dull moments in your life, try to take things a bit easier, the journey would have been enough for me, without all the other things.
dpixie I'll bet your squares are lovely.
k2tog well done on adapting the squares to what you wanted, it's easier to make them bigger rathr than smaller isn't it.
Love to all the MIA's, there seems to be quite a few of you now,
Love to everyone else as well, xxx

I've actually managed to do some knitting today, (wonders will never cease). My friend came around this morning & asked if I could knit 2 hedgehogs for her friends toddlers for when they go to a wedding, I already had 1 knitted in suitable colours, so I found some more wool & knitted the other, as per usual they need their faces completing!! (Why is it I can never have the same enthusiasm for sewing up & faces, as I have for the actual knitting?)

I have been trying to find a knitting pattern for baby sandals, I felt sure that someone had listed one on here & that I had saved it, can I find it, can I heck! If anyone can point me in the direction of said pattern I would be very grateful.

Hope everyone has a good weekend! xx

So pleased to hear your Mum is home Shez. Hope things continue to get better. Challenge figures are looking good too. I hope to get a small parcel to you next week.
It's very quiet on here at the moment...
Sorry SGT, I haven't saved any patterns like that (too chicken, as my pattern following in crochet can be a bit hit and miss :o) but I think I can remember Mioliere did some teeny shoes maybe?
Hugs to poorlies or anyone just having too much on.
