i think this is what they mean by a butler box.... forgive me if its not im not an expert on plastic storage options or the amazing things of a butler.

This is at least what both my granny and my mother had for storage under the kitchen sink i didnt feel the need to have one too as a bucket served the same purpose and could be used for other things too.

yes that a butler box...must be showing my age :o

I feel like a slattern :rotfl:

I have a double cupboard with shelf, though that is being renewed sometime in the not-too-distant future. In there, I have... washing powder, fabric softener, fairy liquid, spray bottle of antibac and a roll of dishcloths in the cupboard under my sink :o Oh and a used paint tray left from when the owners were sprucing the place up :p As such, I have all bottle placed artistically :D

The upstairs cleaning stuff (some harpic something or other and other such stuff) is kept upstairs.

I gave up on the cupboard under the sink! Nothing in there but a bucket now.

I have bought a 4-drawer unit made of plastic, and it's so narrow that it fits between the freezer and the wall. I just roll it out, and everything is in there. I recommend this highly!

    It's a bit like this.

OH hates it because he does what I call a 'man look' when he's trying to find something i.e. looks at the front row in an area the width of his face and if its not there he can't find it.

My husband does that exact same man look - he tells me we're out of something when it's actually at the back of the fridge.

As for under the sink, I keep all my cleaning products in a bucket, which all come out together. We've only a small flat, so I don't have too much I guess.

Anyway, this bucket is squeezed in next to an every growing mound of plastic bags, including far to many 'bag for life' style bags (because guess who keeps forgetting to take these bags when she goes shopping?)
In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!

My under the sink cupboard is a shambles and reminds me of those 2 pence slot machines at the amusement arcades. I put things in the front layer, close the doors and that pushes everything back to fill in any empty spaces. :D There's not much room for anything to fall over.
