My son wants a mobile phone with a sliding out qwerty keyboard for his birthday and we dont know what to get him.

Would love some advice, preferably on the t-mobile network, on pay as you go.

you can pick up an nokia n97 for around £250 off someone thats been upgraded these days.

While many were disapointed with it it's still a top of the line nokia touchscreen smartphone with 32gigs+ storage.

    Possible phones,

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

its a dumb phone from what i can make out but supports 16gb memory cards so lots of music.

frankly i would ask them what they want to do. if your kids a tech geek they will likely be happyier with a lower spec windows mobile device since they can get all kinds of mods.

if they just need it for show why the hell do they need a slide out key board, it adds to the bulk and without a proper os doesnt give you much extra.
