  • You mean C2.Lop ?

Have you recently installed a program called Messenger Plus without reading the license agreement?

notasdaftasilook ... I agree with Alfonso's thoughts here. Sounds like you have a new infection.

I'm not around here as much as I would like to be so pay attention to Alfonso's comments and heed his advice.

As you have LOP then it must have come as part of Messenger Plus3! Remove everything to do with Messenger Plus 3! and post a new HJT log.Alfonso will probably be back to fix it.

When done - if you really MUST - you can reinstall Messenger Plus3! but WITHOUT ACCEPTING THE SO-CALLED "SPONSOR" PROGRAM.
  • It isn't strictly necessary to uninstall Messenger Plus completely. You can remove the sponsor program without removing Messenger Plus itself. Before we go any further though, can I see a HijackThis log from you please.

When you've generated the log I want you to reopen HijackThis and click 'Config' (bottom right).

    Click 'Misc Tools'.

Then hit the "Generate Startup List button next to them.

When the Startup list text file appears, scroll down to the short section entitled:

    "Enumerating Task Scheduler jobs"

It should have an entry or entries with a .job extension.

Please copy and paste that section ONLY in your next reply please.

  • Enumerating Task Scheduler jobs:

    MP Scheduled Scan.job
Norton AntiVirus - Scan my computer - *********.job
    Symantec NetDetect.job
    XoftSpySE.job

  • No sign of Lop in your HJT log so there must be a remnant of a previous infection. We'll come back to that in due course because you have a more pressing issue - Trojan Zlob (Smitfraud).

Download SmitfraudFix by S!Ri from either of these mirrors to your desktop:

    SmitfraudFix Mirror 1
    SmitfraudFix Mirror 2

Right click SmitfraudFix.zip and Extract (unzip) the SmitfraudFix folder inside to your desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click "smitfraudfix.cmd"

Select option #1 - "Search" by typing 1 and pressing "Enter".

Copy & paste the contents of the text file which appears back here please.
