Thanks for the response guys. If it makes any difference the car i drive is a Citroen Picasso(family car). The main criteria would be to get as many miles out of them as i can. Will have to look at the £10 off at black circles as that would pay for the local garage to do them for me! :)

    Thanks again

Black Circles will fit them if there is a centre nearby depends on what your local garage will charge you could work out cheaper.

I can't help but notice you are all mentioning the european manufacturer like goodyear, michelin, continental and pirelli. Look into the japanese manufactures such as Toyo, Yokohamma, Fulda and Falken all of these manufaturers are just as goog if not better that there mentioned one and i can vouch for toyo and yokohamma

So if i order thru black circles and get my £10 off(cheers for that) and go to the local centre they will have the tyres there/sent there to fit for me instead of the local garage?

Sorry, would others agree that Toyo and the other makes are as good?

Toyo and Yokahama are good makes also but tend to be towards the performance end of the spectrum so softer compound. Fulda are Goodyears budget brand. Couldn't comment on Falken. If you want the Autoexpress report on tyres I can email it if your inbox can cope with 10mb attachments or if there is enough interest then I will find somewhere to host it.
    I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.

you will get £10 off but this will just cover the £9.40 delivery charge so depending on the type of tyre you may find other places cheaper. e.g mytyres have normally neen cheaper for me. At the moment though blackcircles have falken ze 195/50 15 H for £ so this £24.83 so under £100 for 4 i cannot commet myself on these tyres but have heard good things about them for there price. Then all you need is to get them fitted, phone around you local garages it should be between £5-£10 for fitted and balanced per tyre. If you are worrying that these are not the same measurement as yours they should still fit but the 195 is the width which is the one that i am not to sure on about it fitting but when calling the for the fitting price ask them if 195's will go on instead of 185 it think they will but am not entirely sure. The 50 is the profile, or hight of side wall the lower the number the smaller the side wall and this will be ok as changing this just means that the actual wheel will be closer to the road and kerbs so more chance of damage to the wheel

Heard bad things about grip and Pirellis, nothing but praise for Goodyear Eagles F1's.
I use F1s (£32 each from mytyres) and their wet grip is astounding, along with their predictable and progressive behaviour on the limit.
    Happy chappy

Personally would be interested in seeing that ...

I'm a taxi driver and have tried cheapo tyres but was only getting 16000 miles out of them, did some research and opted for Continental Premium Contact, priced them up online thro E-Tyres, Black Circles, I then rung 4 local tyre companies asking for quote and they all beat the online price.
Just got to wait and see if miles for pound they work out cheaper.
I am another who would be interested in the report.
