Which new tryes to go for?
Hi all,
I currently have Michelin Energy 185/65/15 H on my car, lasted nearly 22k. Just looking around online and they are priced at £60 ish.
Any ideas on a better or same type of tyre but cheaper version as i know nothing about tyres apart from where the air goes in them!?
Cheers

LOL @ my title, can't even spell TYRES!!0

Tyres like that start from around £30 for cheap tyres. But in theory they don't last as long.
If your happy with those tyres, do your research to get it at the cheapest possible price and go with it.
When I rang around for tyres and did some research, Barum tyres made by continental seemed a popular choice ...0 -
Definately dont go for cheapo tyres i made that mistake on the last set i got they didnt have any grip in the wet and were dangerous i have just changed them to some Firestone TZ200's and they are very grippy in the wet and only worked out £15 more per tyre over the cheapo ones they were called "Goodride"0

Hi
Just had Barums on mine - only lasted 16k miles with my diesel focus (no I don't drive quickly!). Now got some Goodyear Eagle NCT5 from https://www.etyres.co.uk at a price very close to the Barums so it'll be intersesting to see if they last better.
Shop around - you may get some branded tyres at a good price.

Oops forgot about this link £10 off a tyre you will have to use a different email address for each voucher and place a seperate order for each tyre but its not a problem

Bridgestones, Pirelli's or Michelins in my humble opinion but the price will have to be the deciding factor if thats the main criteria for yourself.0

Also I have a pdf report done by Autoexpress but its 10Mb.
It depends what you want from your tyres. Do you want low noise, long life, dry weather handling, wet weather handling, or performance etc.
In the report Vredstein <sp> did very well, which are a Dutch make.
I think BF Goodrich is Michelin's sister brand.
Personally I would go for the Continental Eco Contacts over the Michelin Energy.
What car is it for?I have a cunning plan!

Heard bad things about grip and Pirellis, nothing but praise for Goodyear Eagles F1's.0
